reso, you raise two points that are dealt with incorrectly by you:

1. Permits - Who is at fault with the delays for the permits? Colin, in your view with the logic you provide in your reply to Fastfood. So ARSO had virtually approved the recent application and the Minister did what? Steeped in with a tweet delaying things yet again just before going on a two week holiday. Colin's fault?

2. We have AST getting short of funds by the end of the year. Colin has reduced costs considerably to allay that. But the delays caused elsewhere (see point 1.) are creating a situation which could place AST in financial difficulty. It therefore makes good sense to raise money to ensure the company remains solvent. To keep the BoD in an accustomed lifestyle? Now you are deluded. Colin just has foreseen the danger.

If you are going to make some points at least don't make them in such an intentionally biased way.

I think you need to look up the dictionary definition of the word 'may'. What you may think he meant is all in your mind. I just read the comment at the time and it didn't mean 'no need' at all.

There won't be one if those buying in now are intentionally to vote against on 20th November.

Many shares have large institutional shareholders who sway the vote at an AGM. Often it's to approve the salaries of Directors when many private shareholders disapprove. In the case of AST we have no institutional shareholders. It's all down to genuine shareholders to protect their company. Some of these eco warriors will go to great lengths to sway the vote. I hope you understand my meaning. It's your money, it's not theirs.

Investors should also consider there are a number of eco warriors in Slovenia who post on here and don't want a yes vote. They want AST to go under. Look after your investment.

So those advocating to vote no to any fund raise are willing to risk losing all their money? Or is it more likely they have no investment in AST for them to lose? And are just bitter and twisted having lost money?

Insisting on arduous terms before you vote yes is also highly dangerous. We don't have the bargaining power when the alternative is to lose everything. That's why I believe many advocating no are just malicious posters who have little or no investment here.

As it is we don't yet have a motion to vote on yet. The agenda and motion still needs to be published.

If it were just down to ARSO, the department whose job is to approve permits, the permits would have been issued now. It's the Minister stepping in and delaying things that has caused the problem. And to do so by public tweet just before going on a two week holiday is more than just out of order, it's completely unprofessional for anyone and especially for a government minister. Hopefully the Prime Minister will be embarrassed into doing something about it and will ensure his Environment Minister will allow the professionals at approving permits (ARSO) to continue to do their job.

It should not have been necessary to consider raising funds when this was at 1p as ARSO were about to approve the permit(s). All was in order with the application(s) and it was just the Minister stepping in which prevented it happening and continues to do so as he is now on holiday. Appalling.

Difficult to understand your posts at the best of times scott. Just to be clear the RNS states: "Notice of General Meeting at which resolutions will be proposed in order to grant authority to the Directors to issue and allot equity securities of the Company and to issue and allot equity securities of the Company without being required to offer those equity securities on a pre-emptive basis."

That means a motion to shareholders to raise funds. Clear?

With the EGM on 20th November there will be very little time after the Minister returns to his office next week to get something sorted out. I hope Colin is primed and ready to go when the Minister returns next week. He will need something to bring to the EGM.

1. Court process length of time completely unknown and only applicable if court is used.
2. Funds will be available if they only pay for Slovenian costs and keep U.K.costs to the minimum (see RNS).
3. Fund raise is not 100% required - see reason 2.
4. Fund raise amount is unknown.
5. News may well hit next week when the Minister returns to work and reacts to the outcry.
6. Folk will be off loading? Oh dear.

Reg, you have been consistently obnoxious about AST and Colin on here. The Minister is at fault here. He sent out a tweet about confidential dealings with a U.K. company just before he went on holiday for two weeks. He doesn't return until next week so we can't expect any news until he returns can we? You twist the argument in a mannner which is so unreasonable it becomes abundantly clear you have an agenda against AST. How you might expect anyone here to take any of your rantings seriously is beyond me.

The critical part at the end:

More than covers all of our local operating costs. That's critical as it follows that there is no need for AST to go bust even without any fund raise. And progress from here can happen with INA and any other in the SR.

The Minister is monitoring the reaction. His next move will be next week when he's back from holiday. He will then know, from the reaction to his tweet, what to do. Colin is wisely keeping a diplomatic low profile, as is Sophie Honey.
