I can't believe the amount of bickering going on here. Genuine investors should realise that those attacking the company can only be wanting it to fail. They give no constructive arguments to back any claim that they are just concerned shareholders.

There are those that want to do this company harm. They don't want to access the gas. They see it as an environmental concern which they don't want to see happen. Any other argument from them is just mock concern and emphasising the problems with one objective in mind: the de-listing of AST.

They are not genuine investors only traders, as reso has constantly pointed out.

The vote at the GM could well go against AST as these campaigners only need to exceed 25% for the resolutions to not succeed. Colin needs a plan B for the strong possibility of the vote not succeeding. That means cutting back costs that aren't absolutely necessary. His salary and that of other Directors and all U.K. costs with only the necessary expenditure in Slovenia to keep production going.

Hopefully the Environment Minister will carry out his review as quickly as possible and will conclude the wells can be stimulated, as they have in the past, and will allow that and gas production with conditions that ensure the environment is not damaged. That is the only way this can conclude with everyone winning.

WHYAST, Compare to brexit negotiations. The EU want a backstop as an alternative. You should always be looking for an alternative if your primary objective were to fail. It doesn't mean it will fail.

I hope you're right. However everything we have heard from the new Minister doesn't give me confidence that he will suddenly change to being in favour of issuing the permits. At least not without considerable further investigation into what ARSO have already done lasting many more weeks or even months. Doesn't currently look good.

Colin will not be best pleased. It would make his life much harder. Bear in mind that no votes could well be malicious from shareholder environmental campaigners who want to see this fail. It would seem a yes vote is the most sensible for genuine shareholders who want to see the company do well but there will be others who do not. Others who want the company to fail to preserve their pristine countryside (have you seen the countryside around Petisovci on google earth? I wouldn't exactly call it pristine).

scott needs a translator. For a start he means too long, not to long. I think he is referring to the SR having gone on too long. He is correct in that.

The SR is confidential between the parties in the SR and AST. So he can't give even a ball park figure yet. Very frustrating I know but not worthy of repeating that tweet on here as it should be obvious why he can't.

Colin needs something to bring to the EGM. He can then say vote for the resolution but with this new information we shouldn't need a fund raise. Just need it as a backstop.

Baxter, They're either the environmental campaigners who don't want this to happen at all or they are the weird people so prevalent on social media now who just think it highly amusing to be nasty to others.

The genuine investors of course want success and come on here to suggest all kinds of possible solutions, even going in to excessive detail at times. That is understandable. The malicious sniping and unpleasantness is not.

misiekm, We're in a new world order. Hendersons are gone. They previously provided financial support. The apparent no brainer principle of Slovenia wanting to access their own gas field is at serious risk with even the Environment Minister at the very least delaying the permits and maybe his agenda is to stop it altogether, by a thousand cuts of delays.

Just looking the history of AST is now very passe. It's clear Colin has his teeth firmly sunk into this company and is not letting go. Whatever it takes. And the 'whatever' goes way beyond the historical mistakes they made. It's on a different level now.

I sometimes feel I'm in some sort of parallel universe when I read the posts on here. The detail some go in to when the company is potentially on the edge of a precipice.

The EGM is for a resolution to allow for a possible fund raise at some point in the future. No money = company gets delisted. Delisted = shareholders lose 100% of their investment.

Furthermore: Available funds = negotiating leverage, happy workforce in Slovenia, time to sort out permits and subsequent access to gas and better energy security for Slovenia.

It could all be rather simple for Slovenia if they could sort out their bureaucracy and environmental concerns. The detail can wait till after AST is secure.

With no debt AST can afford to keep going as long as the current production covers their essential costs in Slovenia and the RNS said it does.

'Nobody wants AST bust'. Really? The appellant and all their environmental campaigner mates in Slovenia most certainly want AST bust. And now the Environment Minister is delaying a decision with further subsequent procrastination knowing the financial difficulty AST is in. A 'no' vote will ensure that financial difficulty continues until they can rejoice in AST withdrawing from Slovenia. Trouble is other foreign investment will then follow AST out of Slovenia. Don't think the Slovenian population will thank these campaigners afterwards.
