Voting to allow a fund raise should raise the SP. Subsequent meeting with the Minister and a sensible outcome from that should raise it further. If a fund raise is then still required the higher SP will allow a higher placing figure. If those incremental steps don't occur then who knows what could happen?

Colin needs positive information not only to bring to the GM but also to RNS before the GM. Unfortunately for AST the Minister has his own agenda and is not likely to have a meeting with Colin just before the GM just because Colin needs it. The Minister will have a meeting when he is ready and not before. That will just leave us in the usual situation of a pep talk from Colin and Clive.

I hope the most we suffer is because he is new to the job, although he had been in government for some time before. As long as ARSO becomes more efficient in the long run AST Slovenia and partners will benefit. It's just unfortunate that it may mean yet another delay.

That would also mean a vote to allow the option of a fund raise is important to allow for the delay.

Good to know he seems to have the integrity to do a proper job. He certainly looks like a serious person in the photos. Hopefully that will ensure the gas can flow but in a manner that ensures the environment is protected.

Reso, we chastise you sometimes for your apparent Slovene connections but we don't really know of course, only what you have intimated. But could I ask you if you are familiar with the new Environment Minister? He seems genuinely concerned about the environment, which is fair enough.

Is he likely to allow that to stand in the way or will he follow the procedure as laid out and be fair to AST and the Slovene JV partners? What's he like? Is he being thorough or intentially obstructive?

Don't know whether Tony was filtering me or WHYAST. So I should point out my last post was not any sort of financial advice, it's just my view of the news articles that have been coming out. Didn't think anyone would get so bothered by an opinion. Some here are very sensitive souls.

The situation is getting very volatile on here and for Colin in Slovenia. He's probably hanging around waiting for the opportune moment to see the Minister. He'll probably be waiting a while.

They are also incorrect in what they assert. The Ambasador has not been 'lobbying' ARSO. The B.C. of C. had a meeting with ARSO on 8th August to find out the position of the permits as the procedure had taken way longer than Slovenia's own laws required of them. This is normal for the B.C. of C. whose job is to act as a governmental go between for U.K. companies.

The journalism has been very biased and quite poor. They give strong credence to a known environmental trouble maker who asserts that cracking is illegal in the U.K. and doesn't believe the facts given by Geonergo of the differences with cracking in the USA.

Can't think which is worse currently. The situation with AST or today's brexit drama. Not surprised that some posts have been removed with way feelings are running.

Look at the Minister WHYAST. Do you honestly think he would see the funny side?

Some of the emails and tweets I saw were very close to the edge of angry abuse. The Minister appeared to use them as an excuse and that would have been unprofessional to do so, if it is what happened. I say 'appeared' as we must remember we're only getting what the journalists have written in news articles. They too have an agenda. This may all just be the opinion of journalists. Like your opinion about the source of the abusive emails expressed on here.

Didn't need explaining. It's not just that post, which seems aggressive, it's other posts and just look at the thread title. Another idiot joined? I think someone else should lighten up. Although I understand we're all under stress with this. All of us. Not just you WHYAST.

So you think your abusive attitude and abusive posts on here really help do you? Wouldn't be surprised if you were one who abused the Minister. Look where that has got us.

WHYAST's posts have become more aggressive recently. Clearly this situation is getting to him. We are all suffering. He needs to moderate his posts.

Remember the reason why we are here. It's the Slovenian bureaucracy. It has taken considerably longer than their own laws require. Whether that's getting sorted by the new Minister remains to be seen.

It would seem to be the only sensible way to vote. Those voting 'no' appear to be malicious and just very annoyed at the past performance. But they need to heed the adage: past performance is not necessarily an indicator of future performance. Without the option (just an option) of a fund raise the company will be in a much more vulnerable position. A 'no' vote could mean shareholders could lose everything.

The 'begging bowl' as you put it is to provide for the company you're invested in, or maybe not? Your bad language only shows you up.

That's now old news. A week is a long time in politics. And that's a week old (7th November at 15:31).

It's all politics talk. His statements on changing the permitting process could be taken either way. His previous statement referred to shortening the process. That wouldn't necessarily mean permits would be approved. Politicians twist the meaning of statements. Always have done.

I'm suspicious about his environmental opinions. They would indicate he would be more stringent, not less so. Colin and Geonergo need to convince him they would take proper care of the environment when they stimulate the wells and that gas is the better energy source compared to alternatives.
