When you have a government that doesn't follow even it's own laws then you have no hope of knowing if and when this will happen. Legal action then becomes the only option and legal action through an external court as their own courts follow the government line. Therefore the ECJ becomes the only route to go down and they require that all internal courts have failed the complainant.

I would agree the signals given out at the time by Colin were poor but the cash raise was obviously needed at the precise time it was done. The signals of saying it wasn't needed were wrong. The fact that the INA contract happened shortly after wasn't to be known to AST at the time of announcing the placing and the company needed funds in any case as the first income wouldn't arrive till the end of January. All of this was said at the time. Colin has often made unfortunate statements but has still run the company well.

It has now become completely apparent that the delays are entirely down to the Slovene government. This attitude may have been known to reso but did he help those on this forum? Absolutely not. He just insulted those who couldn't see the apparent corruption in the Slovene government as apparently he could. He now repeats that everything was obvious and forum readers were stupid not to see it. I would say most people thought a government would conduct themselves within their own laws and could be forgiven for thinking the Slovene government would do so.

The comments at the end of the article by Neza Lostrek don't have swearing, except for one which uses the bs word unnecessarily, and they put case fairly well. Of course the Slovene Press and Minister don't wish to be reasonable in return and so the comments are unlikely to be quoted in the Press along with any criticism of the Minister who is on an ego trip for votes.

Their Press is clearly not like ours. Ours would be fair to the point of going against our country's interests and frequently are extremely critical when that could damage our country's interests. Not the case with the Slovene Press. They are only subservient to their country's interests and don't necessarily print the truth. This article has come the closest of all to being fair and yet it's still not unbiased and still denigrates the British Ambassador and AST shareholders without being critical of the Slovene Minister or government.

The NGO's status was revoked with respect to the court action. He's still a protester and their Press can use his information if they wish to remain biased against the U.K. as his information has been shown to be incorrect. He states that fracking is illegal in Britain when it is happening close to Blackpool. The stimulation required in Petisovci has been stated as far lower than required in the USA by none other than the experts at Geonergo and yet that is conveniently ignored by the Press in Slovenia and the Minister.

All of this is useless unless JL and the Slovene government can be made to understand the significance of refusing the permits by constant delays. The Environment Minister is on a personal ego trip to get votes and him noticed in Slovenia and he's succeeding with their local press providing him with positive publicity. As a politician he can only see this as votes and bolstering his position in a coalition government.

Wolf I suggest you do some research on the reason for the environmental certificate. To put it simply the major client needs a certificate for a new plant they are building which will then need even more magnetite than currently they would be taking from Cobre. A little bit of research can go a long way. Rather than just questioning the BoD in ignorance.

With time things become a lot clearer. I put forward the Russian influence theory two years ago. It was immediately rubbished by a few posters with: why would the Russians be bothered with such a little company? AST would only make a little dent in the Russian gas exports. I was being paranoid apparently.

The Slovene Prime Minister went to Russia to sign a number of deals at the beginning of 2017 along with a significant gas import deal up till around 2023 or so. Or some such future date. The Russians don't like any interference in their operations at all. Just look at the Skripal case in Salisbury. They just don't accept anything against their interests.

Things become more obvious with time.

The current Slovene excuses are becoming more silly by the day. Again the previous reasons for delaying the permits are becoming more clear as tactics to stop them happening without actually saying no, as that would create legal problems for them.

There is no current reason why the permits would be imminent. But the situation is very strange. The reason for not issuing the permits being abusive emails is a lame excuse and the thin end of the wedge of excuses. It certainly isn't a valid reason for not issuing the permits.

Therefore no apparent reason why we should be optimistic but no valid reason not to be. Very strange.

Oh those wicked Brits who follow the rules. Terrible aren't they? Not like the Slovene government and courts who can't even follow their own rules.
