Colin should be buying a substantial amount of shares. They are so cheap now. Does he not believe in the company he run's? He should be able to afford it on the salary he had, and still has, from this company. Do you believe Colin?

The board need to buy heavily at this level. Cheap shares in a company they believe in. Or do they?

Ray, We see the same mistakes with other companies. 88E, ukog, etc. all at low points, all suffering from abuse on these forums, all with good reason. AST are in the invidious position of having a severe problem without being able to explain to shareholders. I have explained why with the previous example of 'open government' getting slated in the Slovene Press and by the Minister. Even the Commissions Report states that external interference and an outsider in the meeting caused the 'problems' for ARSO. All excuses to further delay the permits of course.

Ray, What you say is largely true and I am equally angry about how my investment has lost so much value. Where you place the blame though is not entirely correct. We now know the Slovene government is clearly at fault. Maybe Colin was naive to think he could go in to an EU country and start up a business in what appeared to be a known gas field with wells that just needed reopening. He has now found out why it was available for him to do so and a big oil and gas company had not not got in ahead of him. It's the Slovene government at fault. Some within it don't want their own gas as it may damage their pristine countryside. Others in it are under the influence of Russia. Both reasons are now well established for all to see.

Ray, I think you'll find the reason for Colin going quiet to be the Slovene response to his and the B.C. of C.'s previous attempts at 'open government' in Slovenia. They were heavily criticised in the Slovene Press with help from the Minister. Therefore we're hardly to be told his plan going forward on twitter or here on an open forum are we?

Anything to do with the ANN / RNS yesterday helping the AEX but, with no such response on AIM, the AEX subsided back down again? It didn't tell us that much after all.

Interesting. So the commission report appears to suggest that by allowing an outside person from ARSO to attend a meeting the independence of the meeting was damaged.

"The circumstance in question poses a high degree of risk and exposure to potential allegations regarding impartial management and decision-making processes of the officials in this procedure.".

"... asserted doubt about the independence and autonomy of the agency by attending the meeting and giving information regarding the actual procedure, and allowed the public to interpret the matter in a way that blackened the agency's reputation and its officials in public.".

Also indicates concern that any wrong doings in the meeting could be exposed because an outsider attended the meeting. Clearly they don't wish anyone to know whether they are following correct procedure or not.

How criticism from 'persons abroad' should effect decisions made in such a meeting escapes me. If they are following the correct procedure any such criticism would be invalid.

It's politics as usual. JL says ARSO is independent when in reality he interferes with their decision making. ARSO have all the information they need and have had it for a while now and yet JL requires them to wait to see what comes from the police investigation into those pesky emails and any other other excuse he can think of. He doesn't want these permits to be issued as that would offend him and his 'environmental' protester mates. It's now up to the rest of the government to ensure Slovenia has access to the gas they need to ensure they have political independence in their future decision making. Currently Russia has that political influence.

EC, I understand the frustration here but such postings give an idea of the mindset and JL is involved. His mindset is very relevant.

With the latest articles now coming out of Slovenia with the support of the Ministry of Infrastructure this could rise rapidly in the very near future.

I agree WHYAST. Although I believe the radio silence from CH is because he does not wish the opponents of AST to know what he is doing. He does not wish to be associated with moves made by Slovene ministers against JL as we have seen the Press reaction to AST and B.C. of C. 'lobbying' of ARSO. Even the Minister is looking in to possible interference with ARSO procedures and reporting abusive emails to the police. All excuses of course for the Minister to push his 'environmental' political strategy.
