Why stop selling to INA EC? Keep selling till the wells dry up. Use whatever methods are available without a stimulation permit. That could involve compression equipment, soap sticks, etc.. If the wells are damaged so what? We're not getting anywhere without permits so bleed them dry, pay for running costs and move on.

This has a great future. Just wish I could afford some more at the current price.

People are coming around to that way of thinking. It's still the old soviet mentality. Looking to mother Russia for their gas without any concern for the environmental concerns of that.

Some have ridiculed the comments I have made over the past couple of years pointing at the dangers of Russian influence. It's now coming home to roost.

You need to understand what your barrister is doing and not just accept everything he tells you. Or is that what you do? Just accept everything people tell and not bother to check for yourself? As I pilot I always checked an aircraft before departure. I didn't just accept that the engineers had done a good job. It was my life on the line, not the engineer's, and in the case of AST it's our investment on the line. I hope Colin know's what the lawyers are doing before they act.

Would help also if you used the correct word (route not root). Us ignoramuses need to be given guidance by someone who understands the English language. Personally I wouldn't wait that long. Any deadlines should be based on what AST needs to construct a case with the lawyers. I think most share holders will be clamouring for action immediately after the start of the new year. The inaction is coming from the Slovene government. Therefore AST needs to act. Share holders would agree with your last sentence, even in capitals.

Stimulation permits. The IPPC is now too much of a risk as it would require a further 10 million investment in Slovenia. Most share holders would require significant financial and contractural guarantees and money up front before any such commitment could be sanctioned.

The relationship between AST and Slovenia is virtually irreparable now. We really wouldn't want any further financial commitment. The damage to Slovenia will be long term and becoming more significant with each passing day with no response to the permit applications. Which other company would want to risk their money in such a system?

Have to agree with the bulk of your post WHYAST. We need the stimulation permits. But the IPPC becomes a greater risk if anything. How could we be happy with investing a further 10 million in a country that doesn't want to access their own gas supply and keeps going against their own rules?

I'd be interested to know Colin's intentions if the IPPC were to be granted. Would he now just go ahead with a fund raise for it or would he require guarantees both contractural and financial from Slovenia? I believe the latter would be required now at the very minimum.

No decision at all effectively equals a 'no' decision. Issuing a 'no' decision leaves them open to legal action. Not issuing a decision of any kind leaves AST in limbo and they know that can only last just so long until AST either go bust or have to raise funds, and they know the view of many share holders on that. So if they don't want the permits issued the current position is in their favour. If they realise having their own gas supply is good for their energy security then we could get those permits. It's in the balance.

Again I agree lejjb. The Infrastructure Minister does seem to be voicing his concern for the energy security of Slovenia. If it develops in that direction the permits could appear shortly. It would certainly be to the enormous benefit of Slovenia. If Jure Leben gets his way then Slovenia will suffer as a consequence. Let's hope the Slovene PM can exert some pressure despite his accusers over constitutional issues.

Jure Leben is the Environment Minister. One person with a veto is him. He can stop it happening, has been for two months already and still is stopping it. He needs to be sidelined or the status quo of no decision (equals no permits) will continue.
