EC, It's not so much trust in the legal as that is operating within it's parameters. It's the Minister who has gone outside his parameters by just stating a personal opinion when agreements and policy is already in place.

No meaningful comment, yet, from ARSO because they have been taken by surprise themselves and need time to sort out a reply. No meaningful comment from the Environment Minister because he is acting alone and didn't inform anyone in authority in advance of telling the World on Twitter.

You didn't think you may assist others on this board did you? I prefer those who join a community to provide information to help that community. You see, the wrong target being attacked again. I would think ARSO have been surprised by this Minister as well. They had procedures in place, followed them only to find this Minister unilaterally abusing his authority to put a stop to it.

This Minister is under the impression that stopping reliable gas production in Slovenia will be good for the environment. For us humans the environment is something we need to manage correctly to feed us and provide energy. All of this allows us to live on this planet. To not use it at all is committing the people of Slovenia to higher energy prices and reduced energy security. Energy security is really important for the people of a country. The first responsibility of any government is the security, in all forms, of the people of that country. This Minister is looking after his own idea of a pretty countryside and ignoring the security of his people. Some in Slovenia will support his view. They will be the well off who have the luxury of being able to afford imported gas and believe that will always be secure.

I have received replies to two very recent emails but not to the one referring to the Minister's tweet. That may be because he's getting a lot of emails or maybe because he doesn't want to reply with the sensitivity of the recent development. I would suggest it's the latter.

There was a significant meeting between ARSO and the British Chambers of Commerce on 8th August when ARSO agreed to issue the permits when all the amendments were submitted, the final one by the first week of September. They were all duly submitted and we are just waiting for ARSO to complete the processing of the applications.

If true then a public relations action needs to be made in the form of two months after the 8th August agreement with the British Chambers of Commerce the conditions of the agreement are being changed. This is unacceptable in any negotiated position at a government level. We are still in the EU and even if we are leaving Slovenia is remaining in it and has to follow EU rules on how they conduct agreements with other countries. What are the soil sample requirements which were made last January if not to verify the environmental conditions necessary to ensure the safe accessing of the gas?

If it is untrue or old news then Colin needs to set the market straight in an RNS.

Someone has picked up on a news article dated today but no one knows when it originated. That person may have been trying to be helpful by informing others, although it is often done as a 'look at me' type of action even if we don't know real names. It could also be malicious and the way Twitter works that is likely to be evident at market open tomorrow if or when the SP falls back. Twitter can have a significant impact when this sort of 'evidence' is presented. It's in quotes because the evidence is suspect and only appears to be genuine, hence the danger.

If a further impact assessment is required I am sure Sophie Honey and Colin will have something to say about that. It would mean the environmental campaigners have scored a victory. It would also mean that ARSO and the Slovenian government have gone against the agreement made at the meeting of 8th August. That was well over two months ago and for ARSO to move the goal posts at this late stage would be a serious matter.

Anyone selling now clearly has no faith in the situation or AST. That would apply to those who aren't researched but also those who are researched but only believe the downside possibilities. I prefer to ask the CEO himself as he has the full picture up to what ARSO are willing or able to tell anyone.

Some don't believe the CEO and think he is conning us. I look at the facts on the ground (literally with Google Earth), in the official RNSes and information from the Slovenian local press and from Geonergo. The result of that information is that the permits will be issued but the process is very long winded to ensure the legalities are fully covered. There is even evidence of the long winded procedure with other permits from many other countries. These things take time, lots of time.

INA are just really interested in stimulating permits to get PG10 and PG11a producing stably. They can send the gas to their processing plant at Molve for full processing after water extraction at the CPP. The gas then goes in to the regional distribution system which is already in place. If INA are confident ARSO are going to issue those permits they may be willing to either join with AST or offer a take over price. This is now very much a strong possibility.

Colin has always been looking at bypassing problems when they occur and INA is a way of bypassing the IPPC permit situation. The wells will always need stimulation in any case.

Jester, most of the facts given on this forum are real and can, in any case, usually be verified elsewhere. Google Earth shows the actual location of the wells and the CCP. The RNSes provide a legal source of other information. Local news items provided by TPT often give relevant information. It's just the opinions on here that get wild and speculative.

Colin is also frustrated with the time taken to issue these permits. However it does now appear they are on their way. Government bodies don't tend to reveal where they are in a process and so Colin can only give an expectation. His email to Longlad is similar to one I, and others, have received. Rather general in their nature but as expected, with him waiting for information from ARSO.
