Interesting the twist about Brexit that is put on this. As I understand it's AST's JV partners Geoterm and Geonergo who are actually the companies in whose name the applications are in. They are both Slovene companies.

With at least two sells at 1.73p there are some willing to sell at this low bid price. The official spread is 1.70p to 1.85p but the sells will have to dry up before the MMs will raise the bid.

The question doesn't need to be asked HS69. Clearly they are using delaying tactics. As I have said multiple times: No answer is the same as a 'No' answer. Colin and John need to gain influence over other politicians in Slovenia to instill some common sense into the argument over the environment and energy security. They also need to inform the general public as they are the ones who vote for Jure Leben.

I don't normally rise to direct questions to me as the forum is for everyone and not just personal use. However I would say I am not a 'supporter' of Colin I am a supporter of AST, as all investors should be. Colin is the CEO and I therefore look for reasons why things are happening and reasons why he is doing, or not doing, things. Just insulting him here and on twitter is not going to achieve anything for AST investors.

I don't see how calling Colin an enigma is 'job done'. The very definition of 'enigma' would tell you otherwise. We're all annoyed about what is happening and some of us are down by well over £100k with AST. I don't see the point in denigrating our CEO rather than looking for ways that AST can move forward. I also don't see the point in abusing posters on this forum just because you're angry.

John is also a Geophysicist and therefore has the knowledge to set the Slovene government's minds at rest when discussing the problems in dealing with getting gas out of the ground. Both that and his Poland experience could be very useful to AST and to counteract the issues that Jure Leben has and would have communicated to other government members.

Could it also be that John's previous experience in Poland means he has knowledge of how to access the Slovene government with a similar previously communist eastern European mentality? The gas reservoir under Petisovci is proven and there are wells already in place. Getting the gas out is a relatively straight forward process in comparison to getting the permits granted.

He could also be useful in another ex-communist country if AST moved in to Croatia later.

My point was to Eileen, the thread starter. But as you ask New_2 it is obvious to me that Colin is getting far too much for a failing company, whatever the cause of that. It's clearly absurd that he has such a high salary when the company finances can't afford it with a tiny income from PG10 and even less from PG11a.

The fundamental problem for AST investors is not Colin. He may well fall short in many respects. But if we had the permits for the already existing wells to extract gas from a proven gas reservoir his problems would fall into insignificance and AST would be easily at 3p plus.

Has John Buggenhagen got any extra influence with the Slovene government? Somehow I doubt it. His experience in Poland, being another eastern European country with previous experience of communism, may be of some help but I doubt it as the Slovene government is an order of magnitude more opaque to access.

My problem with the investor revolt is that it is at the wrong target. Colin is not the problem. It's the Slovene government that is the problem.

Colin is certainly an enigma. He would make a good (=bad) politician. Both he and Jure Leben have made statements that have not played out in the way they said would happen. Both have been believable to an extent as their pronouncements appeared reasonable at the time of uttering.

Colin is currently hiding behind the apparent necessity of keeping what he is doing confidential because to make it public will provide ammunition and information to those opposing what AST are trying to do. All entirely believable until you realise that making certain information public would actually add strength to his position.

Making the contradictory position of the Minister clear to the Slovene public would be to the advantage of AST. Therefore an RNS to that effect would be helpful. The media is all very well to a certain extent but it is not official, as an RNS is, and the Slovene media does twist the facts to suit their governments position.

Makes sense to evaluate the shallower one first as it's reached first. Evaluate the Nanushuk, see what is found then move on down to the Torok if the conditions allow.

Answer to point 5. is easy. An answer of 'yes' goes against Jure Leben's wishes on environmental grounds, as he sees it. An answer of 'no' opens them up to legal action. No answer at all amounts to a 'no' answer as AST can't do anything until the permits are issued. So no answer at all is their strategy. That then eventually requires legal action by AST to force an answer or AST go bust.
