If all goes to plan in the next three years, JW should be controlling a small to medium size Company. Good share price and a dividend structure.
He will be earning well in excess of £2m per annum and living a lifestyle in Columbia that may or may not suit his medium to long term desires.
So if we are to get maximum return, it is essential that his medium term aim is to sell up.
IS THIS HIS PLAN? DOES HE HAVE AN EXIT STRATEGY?
Does anyone here know him well enough to know what he wants?

Have these come from FIL? I suppose II's approach the Company when they have a requirement to reduce their holding. I do know that mechanism exists with some Companies, rather than going directly to MMs.

Not that I understand what goes on behind the scenes, the fact is that the margin that MM’s are accepting are the lowest I have ever had for share dealing. Wouldn’t it be nice to know a(n) MM.
A friend of mine had a very good contact in the days when there was a trading floor. Could have been very happy days had I been enriched with “common sense”!

It's good that JW is prepared to put a sales hat on and get to India. It would have been so easy to sit at home and do sfa. IF he is unable to get ONGC to speed up this development because it is small fry to them, what if he were in a position to farm in with Occidental to take control of the field?

Clearly latest development well, IMHO, is more likely to establish that we have a large reservoir rather than a huge find. We all hope the latter. Even if the drill results in what most consider a duff drill, it will not be presented that way.
A great buy-in opportunity whatever the result!

Last RNS comment was in October. Quite agree with Jtd that a progress update here is incomplete.
Quite out of order. Changing from monthly updates gave JW the chance to ignore this as well as other more significant events. This should be challenged by those who are in touch by email.

Can anyone explain in lay terms, this manipulation of inter co accounts in relation to group accounts.
Is this a lump of cash that has suddenly appeared. Hardly. The needs of this subsidiary would have been known more than a year ago. Does this change Group cash or declared profit. If it does then it sounds like dosh has been hidden and suddenly wow we have a load of spare cash to spend. Accountants!

Yet again Simon Thompson, Investors Chronicle has a100p target.
Roll on that day when we see this price and more.

Thanks for your comments and many others here who are extremely knowledgeable. On the specific point about volumes, the Amerisur web site provides a volumes v price chart which seems ok. Do you have any better source?

Can anyone here admit to selling at these prices?

It would be interesting to see what AMER would charge for a copy, which they cannot refuse if the reasons given for a copy are sensible. Not sure whether saying the reason is to see how many RH still has. Presumably he is still selling blocks as most here do not understand why anyone would be selling right now. OIMO

Correction. Major shareholders

I sent an email to ask if the share register on the web site could be updated regularly. Last update 31.08.18. No reply!

Whenever I dump a share, it usually flourishes. So hold on and good luck. Tang has paid so much for his holding so I cannot see any likelihood of returns for any shareholders. The day Dattels and co. departed was an exit cue. Never took it and sat here hoping for similar excitement. My take is that Tang has annual drawings which can be taken for many years to come, especially as we all know the asset value is multiple times the current share price but not enough for Tang to make a huge profit on his investment if he sells assets and shares the proceeds with other shareholders.
Reminds me of my investment in GBP where a big lump of cash has been sucked out by the BoD over many years.
I always thought that NAV was an important criteria when investing. Not here.

I guess a lot of share chat platforms have day traders and short term traders, including this one here. As an example, someone here said, he has a core holding and a trading amount that he was intending selling at 18p on the way up. I imagine that batch was sold at 19p plus, and he will be looking to get back in sometime.
I have my core holding and would like a trading amount. Never felt clever enough to short term trade.

Soon be 17p to buy. That’s when I can get excited again, well just for a few seconds. It’s a bit like having an o*****! ??

Any one else have this problem? It's one of my investment failings.
