If you would like to ask our webinar guest speakers from WS Blue Whale Growth Fund, Taseko Mines, Kavango Resources and CQS Natural Resources fund a question please submit them here.
How is my question about your investment thesis a personal question ahaha??? All I did was ask you why you are still a LT holder as you clearly have a negative view on the company, but instead of answering a basic question you are having a hissy fit. Nothing wrong with thinking the stock is going to do poorly, everyone is entitled to their own opinion. But no investor in the world would be holding shares in a company they think is going to perform poorly unless they are actively looking to lose money.
Hi Flatcap, I have been invested just over 12 months. Can you answer my question on why you remain a LT holder below pls
Hi Flatcap, curious why you remain a LT holder if you have a negative view of the company? Is it because you see the companies potential or do you just not want to realise a loss?
Flatcap please grow up, you aren't adding anything of value
Agreed - what kind of questions were you thinking of submitting? Interested to hear what kind of questions investors have for Moti
I've seen there is a Q&A section in the Investor Presentation. Have you submitted any questions?
Anyone here planning on joining the Investor Presentation on 7th June? Will be interesting to hear Moti talk about BATM's new strategy
Flatcap you're not wrong, everyone is entitled to an opinion. But I also think the majority of people on this chat (including yourself) know that there is more to a companies share price than a chart. If you look into the fundamentals of the company I'm sure you'd agree that there are some very positive growth areas in terms of profits, revenue and comparables
Flatcap123, you are basing your investment thesis purely on the look of a chart. Any reasonable investor knows that this is the worst way to base investment decisions. No consideration for company fundamentals? No consideration for macro environment? Just purely "the chart doesn't look good so its a bad investment"... stop embarrassing yourself. Fools like you would have thought the Nasdaq was a terrible investment in the early 2000s
Surprised we haven't seen a bit of a jump in price after the news. Do you guys think we could see a run up in BATM price leading up to the Capital Markets day and Investor Presentation? Could be a buy the rumour sell the news event?
V positive news - this will give Moti the opportunity to reduce the uncertainty. Investors will also get their questions answered and Moti will be able to showcase BATM's strategy.
Good point InContext, the fact shareholders aren't getting diluted from this is something I think a lot of people (including myself) had overlooked.
TradeWizard and James, the main attractive point for me with BATM is their healthy cash reserves. This enables them to make the most of opportunities over the coming months
Bluerill highlighted BATM's business philosophy perfectly. BATM are making very targeted acquisitions with steady consistent income at the forefront of decision making. The earnings recently have backed this up with a clear growth trend. This is not an overnight money maker but over the long term BATM has huge potential. The business model at BATM is designed to create a resilient company that can produce consistent cashflow, even during recessions
Nutmegmilk, what evidence do you have that BATM are trying to manipulate their share price lower? I have not seen any of this. Moti has made it very clear that he is looking to grow the company in a sustainable fashion and continue to expand the business. Please do not broadcast ludicrous accusations without some evidence. Happy to further discuss this matter if you can prove me wrong
ilovesushi, how long are you planning on holding? Personally I am looking to capitalise on the gains I think that BATM will move in the next bull market once macro economic conditions improve and interest rates lower
Completely agree Nutmegmilk, I feel like BATM are in a prime position to capitalise when the dust settles. The way I see it now is we are just buying a good quality stock at a discount
Lots of exciting developments since I last posted on here, the cityfibre deal will be huge for BATM and it looks like the markets haven't acknowlegded this - very excited to see how Moti will do in 2023.
Agreed TradeWizard89, my view is that this is just the start of many partnerships or BATM . What fills me with confidence is the recession proof licensing model they have adopted. This gives the company guaranteed income whatever happens in the macro economic landscape. Something many companies desire.
James,
I have just actually gone and looked at the profit after tax after your post and found it quite interesting. Just wanted to share some of these statistics with you guys:
2018 profit after tax: -$320,000
2019 profit after tax: $4,300,000
2020 profit after tax: $12,260,000
Very impressed with these figures. Yes they had a very good year in 2020 with the Bio Med division increasing their profitability due to Covid-19. However if they continue to increase revenue via alternative income streams I think long term investors will be in for a good run.
