Swiss investor doesn't have any role here because he/she hasn't lent the money. It appears that it was dependent on VAST marketing some platinum and that some sort of standoff has occurred.

If you're looking at the movers here, as SandyShore has suggested, it is the Third Party's position that seems to be most interesting. They appear to be happy to lose their $9m asset but retain their VAST shareholding!

Whilst I accept that this is in survival mode, there seems to be more to it than meets the eye. AP has an uncanny ability to keep the lights on with the support of others.

Apologies Fantasy, I wasn't clear. I accept fully the mess that has been caused... most of it down to AP (but also some bad actors!).

Lifestyle company?? That for me is a stretch.

Nevergonnaretire - I doubt we'll be getting Q2 figures until we get Q3 figures now and it's the Q3 figures which will be telling.

The door's not closing shut - again, AP has bought himself time but this time he has upgraded the mine, has higher grades to extract and he has reduced the workforce by half. He also has other projects delivering some revenue.

If he can't get this delivering cashflow and profit from here then he deserves every criticism.

I think he has clearly been able to convince the Third Party that there is a positive future for VAST but, to get out of this hole, he needs to deliver and he needs the sp way higher than it currently is. He has already confirmed that Q2 at BP was down due to the restructuring and he will know how Q3 has been going... has Q3 shown sufficient improvement to satisfy the Third Party?

Not the news I was hoping for but not the news I was dreading either.

The question now is whether AP has done enough now to get cash flowing from BP and the other projects... sufficient to get a new deal from a new lender.

I've said before that the solution is likely to involve some debt, some new investors and, possibly, some dilution.

Other points of note -

We're no. 1 in Stream 2 now.

Likely to be able to extract magnesium and other minerals too.

Financial fundamentals look excellent.

DH reckoned that the sp will multiply in time!

Still has £600K in cash - looks like no need for dilution for the time being.

Looking forward to this morning's presentation - DH doesn't usually do this after interim results so I reckon that he's got a purpose and something to say or hint at.

DH has provided an update on CLON's sister company PET this morning. It's interesting what he says about EU and funding which, equally, applies to CLON... reinforces my thinking that CLON should be getting some funding from EU.

Good bounce back this morning - disappointed that we fell back but this is still my favourite holding!

Haven't commented for a wee while but, initially, I was quite impressed by LB... not so much now. At a time when we'd all expect the sp to have rocketed, it's dropped back. She/they have just not managed the market well and the US investment went down like a bag of lead. I'm not convinced that any deal will be what shareholders are expecting. As can be seen by the interest here, Helium is a hot topic (also check out PET's announcement this morning)... with that level of interest on AIM, you get wide fluctuations... I'm not convinced HE1 have the right leadership team in place to do well for shareholders.

I should've added that the speculation that they (CLON/PET) might sell their holding in Tano2 holds some water if they're looking for funds to move in to Helium, etc.

I guess it's all relative, Sampson but a major deal for PET would've been the Woodside and Tano2 deals. There's no doubt that they are a minnow, though but through DH's work with CLON and Team Europe, they are taken seriously.

If you look at what DH has done to get CLON front and centre with Team Europe in the lithium space, you'll see that he has managed to gain some significant influence with Brussels.

Not sure how he got that last sentence past the NOMAD but he's clearly signalling a major deal sometime soon if they've already got to the stage of negotiating board seats.

Looks like they're expecting a big deal and to give 1 or 2 seats on the BOD. Looks big from a PET perspective.

Wakey -spot on. Sandy commented about AP's tenacity, as well. I've had an interest in VAST for a few years and, for me, AP has become more determined to make this a success as time has gone on. Events like the Atlas fiasco, the loss of Andrew Hall and even the diamonds fiasco shape a man. The fact that he hasn't given up or moved on (when others would have?) says a lot about him.

On the subject of sentiment, this will only change when there is concrete positive news... only a week to go before we hear something!

Wakeyinvestor - even if Alpha have to take action, I think AP was clear - it won't mean the end of VAST. I don't expect it to go down this road but if Alpha took action they could be tied up in the courts for months. In the meantime, AP continues the recovery.

My patience has run thin though and I think AP really needs to deliver a comprehensive solution this time round. Reading between the lines, I think he's in a much better position to do that this time round and I think he will. Not only that, I think we're going to see investment in some additional revenue streams.

The market cap is still a measly £1.8m and I reckon with the SP bouncing along the bottom, Mr Jones is still happy to hoover up sells.

Very lite trading this morning... and trades at very low values... £1 and £1.60!!?? What's that about?

The last two placings came on the 15th May and 15th July. I could be talking too soon but, now that we're past the 15th September and the closer that we get to 27th September (and after AP's interview), the more confident that I am that a comprehensive funding solution will be announced.

The previous bit piece extensions and placings have added to the destruction of shareholder value here. More than anything, I'm keen to see a comprehensive funding arrangement so that AP and his team can focus more on delivering for shareholders. As I've said before, I think we'll get funding from the Swiss but there could be other major investors coming on board. I'd be happy with an additional placing as part of the solution too.

Market cap is only £1.8m - BP costs have been dramatically reduced and additional revenue streams have been brought into the VAST portfolio with others waiting for funding.

I think AP will get this over the line and with that comes serious multi-bagging!

I've resisted the temptation to mention the diamonds above... seems to be more speculation/rumours than has been for a while but I'm putting these to one side.
