I dont worry about" the market" , i focus on the business and if the earnings hold up and customers stay put, the SP will eventually recover. Share prices follow earnings.

If the moat goes, we will be finished. To make higher returns you have to take risk. If you are buying in this now, your making an educated guess that the moat is maintained and our customers stay put.

Sham/It depends on your estimate for future earnings. If they are good and AI is positive for REL, 17x is going to look very cheap. Until we get clarity i think its about right. This will either double in 2 years time or be worth 2 bob

Deutsche are not a fan. they had it at 185p now 170p. If the next set of results are not showing any improvement i might sell out .If i really like something else now, i would sell.

Well,the market has obviously liked it, up 3%. A broker upgrade would be nice.

Crossley/ I also have LSEG. not bothered about the selloff or SP. Eventually the market will correct itself.

This will probably take a few years to recover, software stocks are on the "lets wait and see" list. When the market realises that AI will not damage RELX we will recover.

If outflows stop, based on our asset value the buyout price should be around 470p. But if outflows stop, why would we sell. If outflows continue in the April results any buyout price would be under £2

Man/ to be fair, you can manipulate statistics. When he took over in 2010 the SP was £1 he took the SP up to over £23 in 2021.(although they had "free money" with interest rates near 0). Where they have a point is the 17M over the last 5 years. Although he has probably worked harder over the last 5 years then he did in the first 11 years. I agree their compensation should be cut until the SP recovers

Our CEO hit back today stating that the GAM managers had not "sought any dialogue" before sending the letter ,basically saying they are going to press on regardless. We have results in April. lets hope the outs are down and the ins are up

I expect them to say, now is not the right time the tide is about to turn and that they will hold tight. Whether you want them to take an offer, depends on your average and the offer price. My average is 392p, if a offer came in i doubt if it would be over320p. It will be interesting to see the reaction of the other major shareholders
