Yes. I can't disagree with demand remaining for the foreseable.
But I don't see that, for example, 50 years worth of reserves today will necessarily have the equivalent value that it did, 50 years go. It's the companies producing large volumes that will be prospering. That is where COPL needs to be headed.

I think a big question will be how are reserves going to be valued going forward given the move to a reduction in reliance on fossil fuels.
We need to get as much oil out of the ground as quick a possible to create a lot of value.
A well financed ambitious drilling programme with multiple wells would really be the boost we need to start releasing the value.

Oil price up. + COPL provides secure/onshore/domestic supplies of oil. Safe place to be invested in.

The world will be a much more stable place when Putin retires. I think he thinks we are still in the cold war.
He has failed completely to develop Russia into a modern economy. Their reliance on fossil fuels without diversifying the economy is not going to end well for the Russian people.

And, further to drivers particular to COPL, we also have the changing trends in the overall stock market.

I would expect the tech sell off to continue this year with more traditional sectors like commodities to benefit.
As interest rates rise highly leveraged growth stocks with earnings way out of kilter with bloated market caps will get hammered.
Think I'd go for a company with tangible Assets...........£1.5 billion barrels !?

The BIG advantage for COPL is the "Home" location.

You can see why Us Oil reserves are 3-6 times more valuable than Syria/Iraq.

I and many others lost most of our investment in GKP because the Iraqi's wouldn't pay for the oil that was being pumped by GKP. (they were a loggerheads with the Kurds at the time). Refinancing wiped us out.

I am sticking with 1)easy to get to, 2)onshore, 3)Stable countries. And in particular Oil companies that have declared HUGE numbers of oil in place of sweet light crude.

I think the CPR report is just the start.

They may well confirm the OIl in place numbers. BUT that is not where the FULL value lies.

It's also about the P1 , P2 and P3 reserves.
P1...Proven reserves is where the value is (i.e. How much we can definitely(90%) get out of the ground, over a reasonable timescale, at an economic cost)
P1 reserves improve as the field development continues/new wells drilled.

If you want FULL value you may have to wait a while.
