I don't think there will be an issue with the RS report. Simply rubber stamping what we already know.

BUT... Oil in place is not where the value lies in the current climate which is all about PRODUCTION and secondly P2 reserves.
When COPL ramp up production, get their finances sorted, and book P2 reserves from the forthcoming drilling program we can expect a re-evaluation

As is life . Everything is about timing. Got mine wrong with GKP, lost a lot.
It's like a lot of early investors. They do their research and see the potential but they are not always the ones to benefit.

Yes GKP may be undervalued now..BUT maybe the price reflects the politics. (not many other oil companies who have been RNS ing on a regular basis just to say they have been paid for the oil !!!)

It's the producing companies that are doing well right now with oil prices as they are.

e.g. GKP up again today.

BUT...I lost al lot of money in GKP previously when shareholders lost most of their money due to large debt as a result of not being paid for the oil they produced. (politics in Iraq)...doing well now but at the time shareholders were wiped out.

When COPL start producing and get the onerous finance sorted, we should fly.

I am feeling that we may be ready for a bit of a breakout any time soon.

Anything above 20p is still profit for the placees still selling.

They were not investors. They were simply making easy money from a business that had no other means of raising finance.

They will be gone eventually. When? Who knows.

It is also about availability of a drilling rig and crew which I think is booked in for Sept.
It will all kick off then. It is an all weather rig so they should be going all winter.

Think they have a permit to drill 15 or 16. No idea how long it takes for each but the main thing is that it should start to prove up the field and really ramp up p2 reserves and output.

Any Oil and gas companies who can boost their output will be very well received by the market. There is no doubt in my mind CUDA will have a major impact. We can all speculate where the sp may end up...but it's got to be.... UP

USA is desperate to increase output right now. The only thing that is holding it up is lack of supplies and staff.

It could well be the people forward selling the placement when they are all done will want to get the sp way over 24p so they can make money on the warrants. They only have six months from the placement. Probably hoping for 30p +

We know CUDA adds 47% to the reserves. It's a no brainer.

Arthur has specifically stated that the new RS report is a Resource report NOT reserves.
That, to me, simply means confirmation of Oil in place.
I think you have got to drill a lot of wells across the entire field to get a definitive P2 Reserves fiqure. That is where the value lies, BUT............Patience required !!

I expect revenue to be disappointing, BUT it is all in the forward statement...RBL/ CUDA/increased revenue to come/ Resource update. I am cautiously optimistic that this year COPL will start to shine.

Hey LargeGin, the resources report is set to confirm(or not) the Oil in place of the new discovery as announced.

Reserves are different in that they confirm an estimate of how much Oil in place can be feasibly be got out of the ground over a time period and at what cost. That gets firmed up when we start production wells.(for the new discovery).

e.g. do we have only one well and the oil dribbles out very slowly, or conversely, maybe multiple wells and the oil is gushing out from every one.

That doesn't make any sense to me Bridgedog.

If what you say were true why would institutions be happy to oversubscribe a 20p placing purely as an investment opportunity. If the company were such a dog and there was "plenty of room to fall from these levels" they wouldn't touch it at 20p
