So panamana Bob what is your prediction for the sp when the CUDA is official. Because I for one haven't got clue.

Cuda is a 47% increase in reserves. Will the sp go up by 47%?..MORE?...LESS?. is it already priced in?

I should think the rise is simply a combination of anticipation of news being VERY imminent. LTH's topping up, traders getting in for short term gains, and shorters closing (they've made their money and can move on).

I would speculate that TW,s last comments of a few days ago(after saying nothing for quite a while) was a final attempt to hold the price back whilst the shorting gang cashed in.
Seems like the tide is turning.

It was the placement AND the forward selling by the placees that opened the door for the shorters.
Easy money for them all.
Can't really see any reason for pursuing that strategy now though. I would have thought bullish is the better call.
The only risk as I see it is failure to deliver the plan.

It would be very interesting if someone did a study of tipsters.
A list of what they tip, what price, what their prediction is, AND would that have made or lost money over a reasonable timeframe.
Sure, nobody is going to get it right all the time, but I bet the success rate is pretty poor.

Most are here to (try to)make money. I personally want to hear both side of the debate and decide if my investment choice is sound.

I had shares in GKP, until the geopolitics messed us up. Iraqi's, Kurds, and Taliban. The Kurds were at loggerheads with The iraqi government. Couldn't/wouldn't pay for the oil GKP were producing. GKP got into huge debt. Had to refinance and shareholders left with virtually nothing.

That is why it is so valuable to have your assets in USA , " .. one of the "most favorable jusisdictions in the world"

I can imagine, going forward Oil companies will be seriously considering geopolitical risks as they make investments choices. Stable countries with favourable terms and conditions will surely be preferred

Art mentions in the April presentation that the US is one of the most favourable jurisdictions in the world for the oil industry.

They simply sell the butane hedge as they don't need physical butane any more That offsets the losses on the oil hedge.

If I were Art even if the RS report is fully signed of I would still prefer in terms of news flow to be able to officially announce CUDA first then shortly after the RS report.

Well yes, the appeal opportunity has expired. But surely that was for the creditors who will be out of pocket to appeal against the amount COPL offered. They now can't not accept COPL's bid.

BUT my question was does that STILL exclude them from accepting a higher bid? (if it came in)

Hey Bladderman, well as I understand it the courts have agreed that CUDA can be sold to COPL for the price they are asking. Great.

BUT, does that mean that is actually binding? I don't know. Could a very late bigger offer by a major to the administrator be accepted?

Who knows when we'll hear, but if I were Art I would be inclined to wait until I had paid for CUDA and got full title before releasing any RS report.

BUT I have been around a while. Lost a lot of money in shares that seemed to be going somewhere. NXT, GKP, FRR.
Bit more cautious these days. Very hopeful on COPL, but not blinkered.

Been waiting for the sp to to reflect the potential. When is that going to happen. Been waiting years.

I am very happy to read posts by people who have different points of view.
Let's face it the majority of people who come to a bulletin board have a vested interest in said share.
And the majority of the majority bought shares and are hoping for it to come good.

BUT what I don't want is for a bulletin board to be an echo chamber to confirm my confirmation bias.

Quite happy to be challenged on my investment with well thought out, counterpoints.
And I like to see those counterpoints challenged.
