the issue is there uis a lack of credible new buyers, and no lack of short sellers. fundamentals have not improved at any of the last 3 trading updates, organically THG cannot show a path to FCF and generating high cash, and any cut to insurance isnt great.

with the backdrop of retail poo macros, and THG have an unproven business model in a recession, SP is where it is

alls not right here, you dont drop 5% on day before xmas holidays. no one is trading. some big sells going through.
the insurance/ liquidity issues werent addressed by THG management and are serious to ignore

the fact he invested 1.5m quid for 2.5m shares is very positive. that gives a lot of support to the notion that there is a solid plan to what they are doing

cant believe PI simply cannot hold shares! the SP goes up 4% and they all sell. very frustrating unless you have a long short hedge

the Nils Pratley Gaudian article was very well written and the questions posed spot on. THG owe us all an update on all those points. 400k p/a is a big wage for doing nothing. however am happy he spend 1.5M on 2.5m shares, as after tax, it would tax him more than 5 years to earn that from THG so obviously sees a big opp here

the other interesting currency to keep an eye on is Japanese Yen. it has finally strengthen which will help THG, as they are exposed to Asian and esp Yen currency movements

retail is rallying hard today. for me, online retail is simply too cheap. It is clear they will benefit vs high st retail over the next 2 weeks or so as the A hole train drivers etc strike, limiting how many people venture into towns. I would also assume most people will stay home whilst the much more worthy NHS workers are on strike too

this is working capital ie paying suppliers upfront for goods or 60/90 days later due to insurance, and it matters whether you are public or private. as such i would have hoped it warranted an update
