Strategic thoughts (updated 18/6/20)18 Jun 2020 05:20
Good morning all.
Below is my BPC post from 11/3/20. IMO, with a stroke of genius the BPC BoD has in a very innovative way done exactly what my train of thought at the time envisioned. I suspect either (a) a JV farm-in MOU has been done with Stena, subject to the BPC and CERP merger, with Stena being the selected risk/reward drill partner for lots of future exploration wells….or (b) CERP’s oil reserve assets, proven and unproven will be mortgaged for +/-3 years to fund the Perseverance spud (770BBOE) without diluting our shares. Or (c) a bit of both (a) and (b). It would not surprise me if this is disclosed in an RNS very soon.
I would rather have 800m new shares issued to merge with CERP now, rather than a future CLN being exercised in a short time window from BPC borrowing against it until spud results. There will only be a few weeks’ window for the CLN lender(s) to sell their converted shares, which will create artificial resistance to some degree, slowing the SP from soaring until spud. This is unlikely to happen with CERP shareholders who have the same risk mentality as BPC ones. However, financial institutions will want to liquidate as they are bankers not frontier oil discovery speculators.
I’m voting yes on all 3 buzzers so that the talented BPC/CERP duet act (with my legendary psychic cat having a cameo role) reaches the BGT final. I have full confidence in the BPC BoD and LeoK our new CEO after SimonP retires as a future billionaire following Pers-1, 2 , 3 and CERP acreage spuds. My March post is below. Have a great day!

My train of thought, is if a farm-in happens and/or BPC strikes oil, the BoD could propose to merge with selected small oil explorers using equity. The sum of the parts could become greater thean the whole. The value proposition to these small market capped AIM or equiv listed companies is: cost savings, experience (the BoD have been there and done it), dilution of risk and the posibility to create a mini-major that can sit at the table with the big boys. .....until one of the big boys buys us all out for a premium. Think big. Good luck all. Or in Handmaid's Tale speak...'blessed be the fruit'.
