Dear all, I apologise for getting sucked in to all the goading of the last few days against me and others. Usually I ignore such matters or give polite/sarcastic 'put downs'. On monday a detailed report was sent to the LSE. It will look into the matter if asked to do so by any of the companies listed on their forums. and it gave advice what to do next I am also in contact with the London Stock Exchange and journalists as I believe it would make a great story. There's nothing unique about message boards being manipulated for personal agendas, however it's very hard to get a starting point to any allegations or the overall picture. With the BPC and CERP forums over the last few days, it's easy to pin down.

Free speech is a privilege in democracies. However there are limits to how far this can go.

A simple decision tree is presented below for current and future BPC shareholders to make informed investment decisions as of today's date.

GO.....

1. Experts believe there is at least 30% chance vast amounts of oil can be found in BPC Bahamas acreage. Do I believe them or is it BS? (If ‘BS’, go to 10)
2. Do I trust the BPC Board of directors, or are they a bunch of amateurs or worse? (If ‘amateurs or worse’ go to 10)
3. Am I confident a drill (spud) will take place by early 2021, or is it baloney? (if ‘baloney’ go to 10)
4. If I invest at today’s share price of 3p and BPC finds vast amounts of commercial quantities of oil will my return on investment be huge? (if ‘no’ go to 10)
5. If BPC merges with CERP and BPC finds vast amounts of commercial quantities of oil will my return on investment still be huge, despite more shareholders? (if ‘no’ go to 10)
6. If I lost most of my investment due to bad luck or fate, necessitating my family and I having to resort to prostitution to pay the bills, is it still a good idea to invest in BPC? (If ‘no’ go to 10)
7. I will buy BPC shares ASAP. If I already have shares I will buy more subject to research from reputable sources and the share price.
8. [If applicable]: I am very shrewd and will illegally and unethically talk down the share price by bombarding forums and message boards with fake news to lower the share price so I can buy cheaply and make money at the expense of others. I don’t give a monkey’s ar++. It’s all about me me me me. (Go to Jail instead)

10. Eureka and pure joy! I am so happy I read this post. If I have BPC shares I will sell them ASAP. If I don’t have BPC shares I consider myself very lucky, however I will repeat this exercise at a future date subject to news-flow and my personal circumstances.

Carscoffee: I will try and assist tomorrow morning (at least from the BPC side) for you to make your own decisions. I'm up early compared to most folks based on where I live. A bit burnt out today. This BPC forum has been inundated with persons against the merger which I allege is for personal short-trading reasons. Others are on the fence which is fine. Until Thursday this was a fun, dignified forum full of camaraderie. Now it's gone somewhat downhill.

Reminder to all: If you cannot or do not wish to attend the EGM to vote for the merger (regardless which way), make sure you can vote via proxy. Some nominee platforms will do this for you subject to you being registered to receive eDocuments. Just because you have an online trading platform does not mean you ticked the box when opening the account many years ago.

Harry, It would be a delight to meet you as you clearly have great intellect, write cerebral posts and do helpful research based on helping the whole team BPC to make decisions. In fact we are both granddads so we have something in common. However I must decline this immense privilege of meeting with you at the EGM where we will all pass the 'Yes' to the merger vote. The problem is I live in a low tax haven a long way away with only minimal time at my home in London and cannot fly for medical reasons at this time. However my family and I will vote via proxy. Unless confidential, what's the word on the street re the proposed merger in the BPC Facebook Group? (By someone in the group rather than someone giving false news)

Three definite yeses from me. I pressed the buzzer within seconds.
Llallee we always got on OK as far as I can recall and I fully accept you are on the fence awaiting further news. That's fine, but at least you're not sla++ing off BPC on an hourly basis and gloating if their SP even twitches on the downside for a few minutes. Let's make peace.

Parp: It depends on how much they were sold and bought for during trading since 0800 and this minute, and when. However Bid/ask has increased to 2.80-3.00 from 2.70-3.00. This can change in seconds,.

I think there is hardcore trying to influence the rest. To be fair, some long-term holders are just generally annoyed based on expectations over the years, but this may change as more news-flow materialises until vote. IMO they need a bit of TLC for now.

Willec, you are right. If merger happens their shares will metamorphosise into BPC ones at just over 1 CERP = 80% of BPC. It is quite clear in the RNS. .....'For each Scheme Share, 0.803 New BPC Shares'. ...It does state 0.803 based on 3.33p otherwise it would have been a cash takeover.

I would gladly post this on the CERP forum however it will likely result in even more abuse and being accused of being a ramper or worse.

Parpaing: Not necessarily, its based on the volume of the next buy or sell and how many shares MMs have or don't have. For example there could be 10 sells worth £100 and one buy at £10,000. BTW, one caveat to my last post: Google gives you real-time share prices for FTSE/AIM and some other foreign exchanges, but not volume. So If I'm an ordinary Joe Blogs buying or selling shares for an ISA every few months, I may not get the best deal if I rely on free trading tools.

Phoebus: It's when persons or institutions have direct market access. The group that wants the price to go down, sells a small number of shares at the minimum allowed. The minimum 'bid' is set by market makers. The alternative group who wish the price to go up, trade the maximum allowed, ie, the MMs ask price . It sends a signal (often a wrong one!) to less sophisticated investors who do not have real time access to trades and don't know how many shares were traded at that price. Now the reason, this cannot be done outside of this range is would create total confusion. Otherwise I could sell £1 of shares at 1p or 5p (to panic people into buying or selling), when the MMS range is 2.8p - 3p. It is good to get a 2nd level console to see stuff like this in real-time.

I have found the behaviour of certain individuals since Friday morning totally shameful. Some examples:
1. To gang up and throw reams of post after post to blot out alternative opinions.
2. To allegedly conspire together to spout false news.
3. To accuse the Boards of Directors of lying and deceiving.
4. To allegedly wilfully mislead other shareholders by stating they would dump millions of shares, to do the opposite and then proudly gloat about the money made after the event. Tricking a 3 year old to hand over their ice-cream is clearly immoral however the kid will likely forget about it the next day. What about the thousands lost to CERP and BPC shareholders who got spooked and sold shares at a loss?

All for what? To make a bit of money by having hidden agendas and talking down the SP by using the proposed merger as an excuse. How can certain persons look at themselves in the mirror and go to bed at night?

Both forums have descended into farce. This post has nothing to do with the proposed merger or whether it’s good or bad. Nor whether the BPC or CERP share price will be 1p, 5p, 10p or £1m, next week, next year or in 2030.

If I was the legal departments of BPC and CERP I would be taking out court injunctions. But I am not.
