No, Cineworld filed for bancruptcy protection which is not the same thing. They talk about bankruptcy as it's been done and dusted and as if Cineplex wants to grab what's left of Regal branch.

Ianharding, RoW is slightly below (300m), it's all on their website. The cash flow deficit for September is just under (600m). This figure includes debt-restructuring, interest payments and revenue loss because of poor film slate - expected to be (~135m) ---> maybe a slight correction on Friday but most likely tis figure would remain in line with predictions. And then the 1st of October hits with rent payments etc. so would there be enough cash left? Cineworld posted their estimate cash flow for October also and those figures indicate that we don't have enough.

it really depends on the deal & what's our stake. At the moment TLW is barely above water with high oil prices this year and this is reflected in the SP. We need to find extra 20 (better 25)kbopd and we know that TLW can manage that, it will transform the company.

hopefully not, with the current market sentiment Kenya will propel us maybe to 45p. Rahul should have brought Kenya deal when we were at 60p.

it's part of restructuring, they had to do it because RoW are not part of Ch.11.

patiencebringsit, without the new approval, money will run out by the end of the week - this came from CINE's own forecast of cash flow for September 2022. I'm hoping there will be some statement on Friday about how much cash went to repay RoW debts and do we have any cash left for the first part of October as this would be critical. The court hearing has been postponed on Cineworld's request and I always thought we had a good chance to turn it around. This can only mean one thing that the appeal is not as critical as other issues at the moment.

Hexam, thanks. Just found it on the news, Cineworld told the judge that the appeal in Canada should be paused.

I won't be surprised if there's some crazy currency hedging in place, RR used to hedge its net dollar cash inflows.

@Supercooper you've hit the nail on the head there, the IIs that hold CNE believe the stock is worth 300p and moan that the deal is not so sweet for them. I believe TLW should be at least 130p so 3.8 : 1 is a gift.

what about the continuing big fall in the gold price? Genuine question because the dollar strength should have reduced the operating costs. Please correct me if I'm wrong but we get USD for ore and in all countries we operate $ has strengthened vs. the local currency, particularly since April. (when gold spot price was almost 2k$/Oz).

they probably bet that the shares will eventually become worthless if it wasn't worth paying 2p to close this position a few weeks ago. I wouldn't be too worried, margin call will come to the rescue at 10~15p. Keep fuel ready when we get the fire going :)

too slow to react as usual! I don't get why spread this "inflation curing activity" over 3-5 years. Need 5% interest rate at once and then instead of 0.25 - 0.5% increases, you would decrease it as inflation goes down. Yes, it would be quite painful for a short while but we will get there anyway with their monetry policy and rate hikes every month do not inspire confidence but only fuel inflation. People buy stuff they do not need because they expect shortage.

and in May 2020 every storage facility was up to a maximum capacity so use it while oil is expensive, fill it up when it's cheap.

as I posted a year ago we (the shareholders) are desperate for extra 20-25kbopd. At the time of high prices that would've cleared large chunk of the debt, put us in a much better position if the oil price goes down next year. Maybe double or tripple the SP.
