Struggling to comprehend how this is falling so much when daily buyback is 750,000 to 1m shares.

Must be some big selling pressure because that's close to the daily buy volume (although I appreciate the ADVFN algorithm can overestimate volumes either way).

I can only think it includes some irrational panic that Reform will get in and attack the net zero sector?

Millennium International added 93,000 shares to their position on Oct 3rd when the share price was between £11.70 & £12.10. Approx £1m added punt.

Overall 5.92% of Wizz now shorted which is 6.12m shares potentially to be bought back. Equivalent to 16 days of average buy volume.

MissSmith anyone so unfortunate still has time to buy 1 share pre-consolidation. That 1 share could change their fortunes if we eventually see an AI supercharged bitcoin-style increase.

I'll be looking out for buys ending in 1 tomorrow. 1,000,001 is a goodun.

If it got approved, that is only increasing the monthly output from 38 to 53 737 max orders. Meaning the backlog of 4700 units, not including any new orders, would take 7 years to clear instead of 10.

So it potentially is goodish news but the situation is still dire. No wonder Mr O'Leary is lashing out. Anger and stress, not good!

Surely a full Gulf takeover of Wizz Air is not legally possible under current EU law without Wizz Air giving up its EU traffic rights — which would kill its business model (intra-EU low-cost routes)?

Here are three clean, well-sourced cases where Michael O’Leary’s attacks on specific rivals aged badly (or were flat-out wrong).

1. easyJet (2010) — “Pinocchio” punctuality ads

Ryanair ran newspaper ads implying Sir Stelios (easyJet’s founder) lied about easyJet’s punctuality. O’Leary later issued an unreserved apology and paid £50,000 in damages. In other words: the claim was conceded as false.

2. Aer Lingus (2009–2015) — “bust within 18–24 months” / “will be broken up”

O’Leary repeatedly said Aer Lingus would run out of cash and go bust within two years (2009), and later that it would be “broken up” regardless of who bought it (2015). What actually happened: IAG bought Aer Lingus in 2015 and explicitly kept the Aer Lingus brand and operation; Aer Lingus remains active inside IAG and is still being invested in. So the bankruptcy/break-up predictions didn’t happen.

3. Norwegian Air (2018–2019) — “will go bust this winter” / “doomed”

He said Norwegian would “go bust this winter” (Sept 2018) and later called it “doomed.” Norwegian did not go bust that winter; it restructured in 2021, exited long-haul, and continues to operate and even place new aircraft orders (and pay dividends) in 2024–2025. So the timing and outcome of his prediction were wrong.

On the BA–Iberia marriage that created IAG, O’Leary quipped it was like “two drunks leaning on each other.” IAG has since become one of Europe’s strongest airline groups with sustained profitability—hardly the train-wreck implied.

Stille maybe as reputation builds Wizz deploy one aircraft to compete with Norwegian on Skavsta to Spain route.

O'Leary maliciously spreading opinion that Wizz will go bust possibly because he believes some people will respond to the fear and not book flights. Media nowadays thrives on fear and consumer insecurity.

I take his egotistical rants as a buy signal for WIZZ ✈️

Where did the extra €78m come from? Some of it engine compensation and lease profit?

Chunky trade at 16.35. 134,329 @ £12.07. reported as a sell by ADVFN algorithm but I'd say it's a buy worked on in stages during today, especially looking at the reported volumes bought & sold today. It's 0.13% of issued shares and £1.62m in value.

Threshold crossed on 26th Sept when price was as low as £11.63

4% increase by today's close. Over £2m profit not a bad call. Got in before the shorters have to buy back too.

Reason for consolidation rather than requirement, is a minimum share price of $0.01 for a US listing. That's 1 US cent which is about 0.75p

As of today's price it will be 3.2p after consolidation which is above 0.75p

Up 34.7% since the recent low of 0.245. Up 15.8% in a week. Profit taking understandable.

Well placed for GM/consolidation and news. Incredible buying opportunity at this price.

It's taking about 2m net buys (assuming no bigger "hidden" late reported trades) to shift the ASK up by 0.01p

Could suggest low stock. The spread has reduced from over 10% 5.5%
