I would much rather write this off and be pleasantly surprised if I don't lose all my money here, than expecting something positive and being let down after 10 plus months of waiting. I am much happier about the situation since I have written it off...

Do you not think it's incredibly strange this hasn't been sorted yet? It's gone on too long. For your own sanity... Try not to expect a positive outcome.
