The consortium is one of five fingers in the pie as I read the update. Clearly ODX is geared up. Is the drop purely a reflection of the apparently generous Senegal trade ? Need to be just patient ...

One can imagine what's going to happen if news on the antibody POC test with the consortium arrive this weeks. How many hundreds of millions will adopt it in the world ?

What is promising is that ODX is now involved in antigen and antibody testing.

GGGT - Many virsus don not have a vaccine (AIDS,Hepatitis etc.). The only tool left for Covid 19 is so far testing. De-confinement is tightly related to antibody testing in particular.

Many don't realise antibody testing will be a routine in every country for many years to come. This is the only tool left allowing people to go to work and speed up recovery. Without a vaccine, which may never come, how countries will act without anything to protect their citizens ?

It means, it could be tomorrow 4th of June or on 30th of June. So within 4 weeks a design freeze will be achieved.

In addition there is no certainty there will be a vaccine. HIV for example, which started in the 80's, we don't have a vaccine yet. For Covid 19, at the end of the day, if no long-lasting protection vaccine is available, it may depend on self-immunity where regular checks on antibodies will be necessary, thus becoming a routine in the future. Making antibodies checks a routine procedure, means manufacturing the test will never stop.

When the news falls on our heads, it will be a stampede to get a slice. For such a sensitive share, we saw what happened following just an interview...

ODX and Abington are the ones with the largest manufacturing facilities. IMO the 50 millions initial tests will be ODX (20 million), Abington (20 million) and the rest will share the remaining 10 million.

Omega and Abington have the largest manufacturing facilities so they will receive a bigger share. For example a total of 50 million tests may be split as 20 for ODX, 20 for Abington and 10 for the rest. If each test is £10, then each one of them will get £200 million from sale. Then add what they will sell to other countries. Thus why they are all ramping production.

Whatever people discuss one certainty is antibody testing will be the only tool to be used to separate those who should go to work and those to be quarantined. I cannot see any other tool. Then apart from laboratory kits, which take many hours or even days for the results to come back, I cannot see any efficient and simple other tool than a POC test. Being the major diagnostic test equipment in the UK, I can already see a huge transformation in ODX within one year.

Elon - What a few don't understand is the virus will remain with us for a while as long as a vaccine is not available. Then assume the vaccine arrives, it takes a year or so to cover a few billions worldwide. Then a vaccine must target only those without antibodies. So How do we know ? By testing for antibodies of course. So antibody testing will be the standard practice, with or without a vaccine in order to allow people to return to work/travel etc. So no need for a diagram to understand that ODX will be very busy for a few years to come (some countries in Africa and South America haven't even peaked). My conclusion is that antibody testing is the only tool and hope left for countries to release with confidence people into factories, offices, airports. When ODX kit arrives, it will be the only POC test on offer for antibodies diagnosis. All the others are for antigen which will play only a supporting role for antibody testing (if someone doesn not have antibodoes he/she may be tested for the virus). Knowing the experience and the expertise of the UK RTC, I am not sure any other company would produce something more accurate for antibodies. So IMO we are only at the start of "antibodies revolution".

ODX statement was forced to them by nomad. ODX has nothing to justify. They have nothing to justify as 2 events happened: 1/ A bullish Sky interview by the CEO and 2/ A job advert for 20 technicians. So these attracted new PI's to invest in the company. It is therefore normal the SP would rise. If say the SP was sinking would nomad ask them to issue a statement ? I doubt it because they would let the doors open to the butchers to short it. So someone somewhere has missed the train and nomad obliged the train to come back to the departing station. What they realised is that the only tool left to help de-confinment is antibody testing. When the POC test kit is validated, there is no better means to assess people to returning to work than antibody tests. Knowing if a person has or hasn't the virus by means of antigen testing has no benefit to factories or shops etc. because the same virus free people can be contaminated the next minute while those with antibodies won't. So how on earth can they be left behind ? So as far as I am concerned, if it drops early morning I will top up otherwise I will hold my shares not for one month but for longer because I am convinced antibody testing will take the forefront of the de-confinement in every country for at least a few years. It will be the de-facto diagnostic tool to allow people to return to work and enable pharma laboratories and R & D to open doors to the conception of future vaccines in general.
