2022 will definitely be PFC year for many positive reasons: 1/ SEC issue is now behind us. 2/ The number of projects and contracts will be far higher than in 2021 as blacklisting in the Emirate representing 10% of turnover will be lifted plus all those hesitant customers, waitning SEC outcome will jump in again. It must be noted that despite serious SEC issue, orders were still coming in before the resolution. 3/ PFC has now put in place one of the tightest control system against corruption and wrong doing. IMO PFC will start 2022 with a clean and successful chapter. Expect positive news starting dripping as we move along the year. 2022 will also be the year when big investments in oil exploration will be the highest compared to 2021 under Covid. All this will logically take the SP to £2 - £3 levels with it. I am optimistic and confident that 2022 will be the trigger year for PFC for an excellent performance where Investors will never look back to the pastvdreadful years of pain and uncertainty. Buy and leave to mature especially that now is the time for the world economies to start huge investments in energy following 2 years of stagnation and frozen planete due to Covid. Good luck for 2022 and beyond.

Added more today to hold for 2 years. With the SFO resolved and behind us, the precursor for a strong recovery is the lifting of blacklisting in the Emirates (ADNOC), which represents 10% of sales. These levels are opportunities that will not stay where they are forever. An excellent entry point. I would add that PFC could also announce the re-start of the dividend payment possibly this year.

I don't want to be under the skin of a shorter when the dealing is in millions of shares and in the reverse mode... Weekend nightmares expected for anyone trapped with shorts to close...

There is only 31 million issued shares. So any buy/sell movement will spike the trend up or down. If nobody is selling there won't be enough shares available to buy - especially if they start a share buy back - as they said. So the drop in SP of 70% is the worst case scenario for a 17% - 20% business segment ( "orderly wind-down of the body and flat armor business over the next two years). IMO this is overdone for such a strong cash generating business.

I bought more today because I believe the business is specially unique and has already a proven customer base all over the world. These glitches happen for all manufacturers and this is part of the learning curve for improvement following corrective actions. The order book and the cash flow talk for themselves.
So one can patiently wait and receive dividends while recovery takes place. This is also a special sector serving the military and the civilian safety sectors. It will always prosper, with or without wars
So I will remain fully invested for at least 2/3 years.

IMO the review will put every option on the table and the one that will be probably retained - if it can happen - would be the one that will make the management even more wealthier: A takeover - and they now have, during this review, the opportunity to justify it ...
I think AVON will not go through the full 2022 before being taken over. Meggit and Ultra Electronics were the recent prays. AVON is less sensitive when compared to others as it manufactures protection equipment so could go easily to any bidder.

For those talking about management: The management cannot predict or control the outcome of test results of a product. The only important task left to the management now is to request to the technical department a thorough investigation to find out the source of the failure then solve the issue as soon as possible and make sure this is followed up to the letter. Failures during testing happen all the time everywhere. Testing is mainly a tool to detect weaknesses within a product/system. The results will allow to detect the source, refine and improve the product. Without testing the theory is sterile; without theory, testing is blind - all coming from "Theory without practice is sterile and practice without theory is blind".

AVON is actually protecting human lives during a conventional or nuclear war, thus why it is very different from the military stocks.

I suspect the share price is now back to the level before they entered the US Defense arena.
The sharp drop last Friday was probably due to triggered stop losses. When really battered, this should not go below £15, a logical level without stop losses that caused the spike down which was followed by panicky PI selling to take it 51% lower.
Overall, I see one of the best opportunities to get into AVON since 2017.

The sharp drop was caused by stop losses from institutions that kicked in. Due to the fact Avon issued around 30 million shares, the price was very sensitive and volatile. I think this will recover within a few months as 80% of the business (helmet and respiratory) are running smoothly. Only the body armour business which represents roughly 17% is having approval thus delays issues. I am a buyer for the long term. If not taken over, the SP will reach £30 within 6 to 12 months as management is not going to stand still.
