The sharp drop was caused by stop losses from institutions that kicked in. Due to the fact Avon issued around 30 million shares, the price was very sensitive and volatile. I think this will recover within a few months as 80% of the business (helmet and respiratory) are running smoothly. Only the body armour business which represents roughly 17% is having approval thus delays issues. I am a buyer for the long term. If not taken over, the SP will reach £30 within 6 to 12 months as management is not going to stand still.

I expect a strong package to come with the trading update. Darktrace which released its finals on 15th of September just gave its trading update today, less than one month later. AWE will probably release its own anytime this month as its interims were released on 21st of September.

We are long term holders. It happens that shorters or daytraders will never learn their lesson with volatile stocks.

That was already stated by the company during H1 results: "All definitive agreements from China Product Partnership ("CPP") executed with first revenues expected to be recognised in H2 2021"

What impressed me is their confidence in raising their forecast. I feel a big tie up with a big semi is on the cards. ST Micro, Infineon ? These are just guesses. This statement is important: " Following a strong first half in 2021, we are increasing our FY2021 guidance based on our order book and VISIBILITY on NEW opportunities".
To me "VISIBILITY on NEW opportunities" means they are already swimming with the big boys ...

@Barcap: "Belly up" because it is booking millions every week ? "Belly up" because it is upgrading its numbers ? I think it will yourself who may go belly up when your shorts will be trapped. Knowing how the SP is volatile, no stop loss will save you. Mind the short gap...

With the progress of 5G and the ever increasing of data volume and flow, we need fast connectivity. AWE came at the right time:

I am adding more shares because this is the best opportunity we have to own a unique IP company that is exposed to faster connectivity which is a must now, due to the volume of data flow and the near future with 5G growing fast.

Possibly when the US/Canada open - so from 2.30 pm this afternoon. This is when the action usually starts.

I remember Robin Saxby, ex. CEO/Chairman of ARM Holdings saying "Our only problem is how to manage multiple worldwide incomes coming from our diverse IP". That was for faster microchips/micro-controllers using less battery consumption. That was the start of semi-conductor innovations. On here we are at the start of faster connectivity and 5G revolution where AWE seems to be ahead of many. I think the analogy is right.

I noticed that the real action on AWE movement occurs when the US/Canada open. So the action could start at around 2.30 - 3.00 pm.

IMO the shorts will continue closing progressively because any news AWE gives on a new major customer signing will significantly reduce their profit due to the share price volatility of AWE.
