RE: AISC question?24 Aug 2021 22:00
Thanks for the replies you lot, my reason for asking was due to this old post I found when "Researching" AISC info and Berenbergs valution. (I like Google) One thing I was a bit unsure of was if an AISC was known then does that make everything over that profit which lead to my question. The post below dates back to 15 Dec 2020:-
TakingMyTimes post based on one of Berenbergs notes:- "The latest note, apparently, uses $1400 POG -- and arrives at 33p, I guess. Now, suppose you are a fund manager looking to invest a million pounds (or 2, or 3, or 10 million). If you think the average POG over the next ten years is going to be $1400, you'd say, "Hmm, Berenberg thinks that leads to today's price, not all that attractive." You wouldn't buy, unless you believe there's going to be another big find for GGP.
But what if you think POG is going to average $2100? Well, that's a 50% increase over the Berenberg assumption. That takes the SP to closer to 50p. That makes 33p very attractive."
I wasn't sure why TMT said it was a 50% increase because if gold went from $1400 to $2100 then I assumed that extra $700 per oz would be profit which lead me to work out some figures and came to an sp closer to 75p? I will can add those working outs later if some wants to see them but I think the posts below theres alot more involved than I thought.
WelshFalcon I agree 100% about DYOR however sometimes when you read info it maybe doesn't sink in because some of us have tiny brains! This is why sometimes its handier to post on these forums in hope that someones explanation helps you better understand what info you want. Have you never read something and it didn't make much sense? The replies here prove it was a good idea for me to ask about it even though it went a bit sideways which is sad to see and unintentional on my part.
Also posting questions on here is research, lazy, but still research ;)
Many thanks again for the replies, they are much appreciated.
