I was a member of Newmarket racecourse for a couple of years as I fell under the spell of a blonde. All ever saw though was a lot of overdressed toffs and I found many had no substance. (The blonde did though) Now I liken my portfolio to speedway. The shares go round and round and every now and then one falls off. Despite travelling at scary speeds with no brakes they never really go anywhere..
There appears to be a lot of shares being bought in the last two days and yet the price has hardly moved. Whilst LSE's ticker is kaput on this share I find it very hard to follow what is happening here. Somebody seems to be getting into position for play perhaps. Time will tell
Being a long term shareholder in Enquest requires one to be a very special type of masochist. Flails whips and thumbscrews are children's toys compared to a large number of these in ones portfolio.... Its enough to turn one green..
A very good summary. I have been investing along time and as long as you avoid bankruptcies patience usually pays off. I am a bit disappointed that we did not close higher after the update but that is because the markets do not see Enquest as sexy at the moment but then neither am I but there are times when that is useful.
I have plenty of patience and have never suffered from sentimental tendencies as M Spin will tell you but until the smoke clears on what is a shambles in the Palace of Westminster and a resemblance normality returns to world trade I am not interested in investing another penny in the market. I have cash and and sitting on it...Fart must go (Oops sorry Trump.) and Europe and the Uk must come up with a solution.... Perhaps the Irish could veto and extension to article 50 and the Orange man could just fade away..
This update has removed quite a bit of the haze and things are much clearer this morning. Feel relaxed about this being my biggest investment and intend to continue to sit on my hands. Just wish we could all switch off that Disgrace of Westminster. If they had organised D Day they would have not allowed the troops bullets...
