Rns AGM Statement. 5th September

Now we are motoring..

I sold out of builders some years ago. I should have ridden the rise a while longer but hey ho. I have a lot in infrastructure for the divi's but find this time of the year difficult because I want to play so trading is on the back burner. What I like about ENQ is you can watch the ships and it is a polite and sensible board. I have a large holding and feel quite relaxed about my investment here. I hope to be at the 60p club dinner..

Fortunately I know what the property next door sold for and they are identical. I own mine so no financial pressures either. My agent is clued up too really. Share trading though makes you very independently minded
so these days it takes a lot to get me excited either to buy or sell. What I have become aware of though in the last couple of years is how uneducated many of our friends are when it comes to financial matters. We had one who after less than six weeks out of work had to flog his Jag...Be Good

My agent is telling me to drop my price urgently but I think my price is fair. It is not that my price is too high but that the buyers are running for the hills. Potential buyers are suddenly realising they simply can no longer afford to take the risk of huge debts. Reducing prices in a falling market may tease out a few buyers but in the long term there is the danger of engineering a real crash. Listening to our leaders yesterday it is clear the housing market in the UK is totally busted and they know not what to do.I really do believe now the housing market will follow the car market and in 10-15 years will be unrecognisable. I was in TW for along time from 19p but now I am out until it no longer looks expensive and it once more has value..GL

It looks like my old teecher was right. There are just too many headwinds at the moment for a sustained re rate and I like many have been slowly going into cash although that always makes me jittery too. 70$ a barrel seems poor now but last year it would have been seen as a dream. My attention is on the housing market because I am intending to move. It appears the market is stagnant and the price of houses is falling. Too my amazement I have been here before.. Predicting oil futures is easy compared with understanding the UK housing market. From yesterdays government announcements it is clear that our leaders have no idea of how near they are to meltdown. If they cannot see that how can investors even hope to remain confident of where they are headed. I have traded the trousers off this and will continue if a chance arises but my LTH remains untouched until the meeting of the 60p club..GL all

Enjoyed you u tube about the rock ship. It is never so dramatic on my boat Perhaps it is the steadying effect of rum!! Been busy on walkabout with Madam Spin. It is much easier on my dicky ticker to just look in a couple of times a day and then attend to he every need.. There are many!!

You have to look at the builders as high end retail and one has to say that is looking a bit sticky. The real question is can the builders do what the car industry has done a all you do is rent them and hand them back after a 3-4 years.

I want to move house hence my extra interest in the housing market. I have had no interest in my house even though I think I have priced it right. I have looked at a few because I do not need to sell to buy but the prices being asked just make me feel ripped off. My agent says it is deadly quiet so for now I bide my time.

I visited Essex over the weekend and it has turned into a huge building site. Sadly roads and infrastructure do not seem to be yet in place and when I arrived at my destination I could find nowhere to park the car. After about twenty minutes of driving about I had a row with Mrs Spin and we came straight back home.
Yesterday I went to Norfolk and this time by train. It cost three times the price of driving but at least parking would be no problem. When we arrived the whole town was a mass of vehicles most of which appeared to be looking for places to park and the fumes from their exhaust was overwhelming. After finding a small restaurant surrounded by yellow lines we had lunch and decided to head home. As the train rattled along I gazed at more home being built and wondered how will fruit and veg pickers ever afford them Holidaying in the uk is such fun...

Hard to believe the volume here today. Everybody is sitting on their hands ..

So close the week up one whole penny. Only about 23 weeks then to the meeting of the 60p brigade. Every little helps they say...

There has been steady buying here since mid July. Something is brewing. It was at one point over 12p so plenty of headroom. The Edison report is quite interesting too..

I read that and can only smile. My experience 20 weeks is almost impossible to predict. Twenty years and it is pure stupidity...

You sum up well why I have not sold a single share and will continue to hold for the update. GL

Your post gives hope but this remains rooted to the floor. I am reluctant to sell my holding here because I still believe the sp will rise but with no dividend this is proving a poor investment over 24 months
