me, i didn't think eric's post was in breach
of t&c at all -- so that was precisely why i
was puzzled, as it seemed an unusual
decision. (however, since it was not my post,
admin would not comment to me about why
they removed it, even had i asked, as they do
not discuss actions they've taken re other posters.)
i'm pretty sure admin don't remove posts
just because a lot of people have reported
it -- partly because they've *told me that* before,
and partly because that's been very obvious on
some other share bbs, e.g. qpp, where there
were some very persistent hostile posters
being reported by a very large number of LTHs,
but whose posts were not deleted as they were
careful to stay on topic re company and prospects,
albeit from a particular slant. admin don't mind that.
presumably, admin removed eric's post because they
disagree with me, and do believe that he was violating
one of the t&c -- but beats me which one they had in mind!
surely it would be daft to remove posts just because a lot
of people report them? -- that would just mean that bbs
become uninformative fora for a convinced majority to just
reinforce each other's views, rather than places where
people can actually learn & think about equity situations.
there are several posters who seem to be making an
effort to try to understand what the recent RNSs might
mean, and are sharing their thoughts on the bb. seems
to me that's precisely what the bbs are meant to be for.
i can appreciate that you may not like some of the
implications of the analysis / discussion, but it would be
lot more interesting, & constructive in terms of DAN bb, if
you posted something about your own understanding &
analysis. i would welcome reading other interpretations.
