when investing, sometimes having the
courage of one's convictions means
choosing to stay *out* of a share or a
sector which seems hot /fashionable,
or indeed staying in cash altogether.
e.g. rightly or wrongly, woodford
has been putting his money, and
his investors' money, where his
mouth is, by staying well out of the
banking sector (and many cyclicals)
for some time now. it might work l/t,
might not, but he's not simply copying
behaviour of other fund managers, nor
just replicating or tracking an index.
