hi knigel.

i haven't been posting as much since my return as i used to,
as other priorities are taking time. but if you look back over last
few weeks, i have posted about a few of the shares that i hold,
e.g. astraz, aviva, and bp, so yes i do sometimes comment on
companies where i am invested. - but on the whole, there
is not actually so much to chat about with some of those
more mainstream, supposedly 'steady' investments.
& often those shares are already well discussed and
publicly analysed by professional commentators etc.
even when they are not doing that well (as with aviva in
recent months) i don't really see the point of pis posting
to "defend" such investments .... pi posting won't make
a blind bit of difference to such share price movements.

(e.g i do still trade in and out of lloyds, but can't see much
point in chatting about it, or brexit, on the lse board much.)

mainly, i think posts are just for interest & entertainment.
but i'm not fond of seeing boards being used for scams.

i can see what you mean, but overall i am not that fussed
about the future of an independent british pharma industry.

UK is a just a bit player on world stage,
& my family is dispersed across various
countries, so UK not the be all / end all.

of amazon. well, one of the early investors anyway.

ok, maybe not that, but he probably bought at least
one product from amazon. --- so it's probably ok to say
that amit helped to commercialise amazon, isn't it?

that's what makes it even more risky
for retail pis to dabble - i.e. with shares
that can be relatively freely traded on
a liquid public exchange, the point is
not just that shares can be bought &
sold, but also that there is a process
of transparent price discovery, as the
market argues it out publicly about
what real value of the shares actually
is. ... that is lacking with privates sales
and purchases of an unlisted share,
so retail pis have no decent reference
point about what the underlying value is.

knigel, it is possible to buy or sell
the shares by private transaction.

and it also seems people have
bought shares in ctag's cayman
version in the so-called pre-IPO.

LGO, is that what the RNS means?

RNS "The Company forecasts that the Contracts will generate positive cashflow from September 2019..."

i.e. the RNS says that the *contracts* are expected to be cash flow positive
from september. it doesn't predict that the *company* itself will be.

sometimes these things are just about slightly clumsy wording, so
v. happy to be corrected if there is other extant info to confirm that
company as a whole will be cash-flow positive by september. (i may
be far too cautious, but devil in the detail sometimes with AIM RNSs.)

money raised to keep the lights on, but
main issues remain unclear / unresolved.

1. can adme get the funds to take part
in the next phase of aje development, &
what will terms/costs of those funds be?

2. is the sheikh intending to use adme as
a vehicle into which he can inject some
other asset he already has a stake in but
wants to monetise by having it sit within
a listed company, and if so, what is the
quality of that asset & what would be the
financial terms for adme acquiring it?

timescale also unclear, of course,
patience may indeed be needed,
tho' cashburn remains high here.

smallerpi, they were probably hoping for more ££, hence
no target announced when fundraising was announced.
they probably added in the primary bid offering as they
got poor responses when sounding out potential placees.

it is not a huge sum compared to the amounts that they
will need to develop more of the deep water assets. but
in terms of just getting an additional bank loan or similar,
bear in mind that adme already owes a chunk for grenada
which they might have to repay at short notice, and the
auditors felt they had to qualify re going concern status.

if all goes well, then their cash flow should be looking a
bit healthier by end Q1 2020, but there are a fair few
assumptions built in in order to get to that stage. they
are crossing their fingers re oil price fall & other events.

or woody selling 2/3 of his personal WPCT
holding, without telling anyone until he got
spotted, in order to pay a tax bill (cough).

but what else do you suggest they should have
done to pay their short-term bills? -- they do
not have spare cash, BoD wages & legal costs
remain high, & they are still a loss-making co.

in terms of selling, there will be most of that
£500K to be flipped, since it's pretty unlikely imv
that much of this recent placing is in 'sticky hands',
(... as the old chestnut tends to go on chat boards).

flippers would be hoping to get out 17.5+.

plus, very possible that stefan himself is still
dumping big chunks when liquidity is there.

as big red said,
