it is the trading of existing shares between counterparties on an
exchange that is suspended, not issuance of new shares. (and it
remains possible to buy & sell EUA shares off-exchange, privately.)

nope, just suggesting a prospective nomad thinking of
dealing with EUA could ask for a big %age commission.

but of course the rate of commission is up for negotiation, so it’s not
just about the signing-on or annual fee. any nomad prepared to hold
its nose enough to deal with EUA could ask for big drinks commission.
anyway, not long to go to see who the lucky new nomad will be, eh?

ethio, why do you think ‘clarification’ is no longer an issue??

the last RNS did *not* explain what the nature of the relationship is, and the
share remains suspended because of the stated need to clarify the relationship.
all they said in the last RNS was which part of CITIC they have been talking with.

- if they had clarified the CITIC relationship to the satisfaction of the
relevant authorities, either they would have been obliged to lift the
suspension, or they would have been obliged to RNS what additional
reason there was for EUA shares still to be remaining suspended.

i agree that needing to replace Nomad is not the reason for the ongoing
suspension, although that will become an additional reason if they have
not secured another Nomad by the end of april. the reason for the current
suspension has already been clearly stated in an RNS approved by the
current Nomad, i.e. that the relationship with CITIC needs to be clarified.

but EUA remains suspended, and there has been no other announcement
approved by the Nomad to say that there is any other reason for suspension.
the most obvious conclusion therefore is that EUA has still failed to clarify
that relationship to the satisfaction of the Nomad and the exchange. aimho.

if the original reason for the suspension had been resolved, but an additional
reason had arisen, then the company would have been obliged to RNS that.
