don’t intend to reduce it in the very short term, but they are
telling you that they *are* planning to reduce it in medium term.

in the meantime, they are not managing to be particularly
lucky with new drugs in the pipeline. that might change, of
I course, but em ma is banking on that pipeline succeeding.

neither share price can be manipulated by a few posts
on chatboards like these, regardless of how aggressive,
mendacious or deranged such posts might be. peeps get
a bit carried away obsessing about conspiracies, shorters,
etc. etc. ... all good fun bed-time stories, and some of those
stories have more than a grain of truth when they are told
about AIM stocks, OTC pink sheets and the like. but chat here
doesn’t move prices, & you’d have to be bit nutty to let positive
or negative posts on LSE boards influence you to buy or sell owt.

... suspect some of that “parabolic vaccine spike” wasn’t so much
huge optimism about earnings from vaccines per se, more that
there was an awful lot of money sloshing around the markets
looking for some kind of home to make a return, at a point when
there still wasn’t much appetite for many other equity sectors?

pharma perhaps seemed one of the least worst places to put dosh, but
other parts of the market have perked up since, so outflow from AZN.
and of course, alexion bid then added on considerable execution risk.

very encouraging to see that lancet indication that AZN vaccine may help
reduce transmission. hopefully for humanity, some of the other vaccines
will also show limit on transmission. maybe ‘21 really will be a better year!

(... am baffled by the phoney war on this chatboard about what profits AZN
will make from covid vaccine... they have gone out of their way, right from
the start, to say they will make & sell *at cost* for pandemic duration. they
could hardly have been clearer. AZN share price prospects, good or ill, are
more about oncology pipeline etc, & success or failure of alexion integration.)

in the idea of “jobs for girls”, and refer to her “having picked up
massive salary” ... bingham did not get any salary at all, let alone a
massive one, for her role in relation to UK gov vaccine acquisitions.

stille, i was not making any comment whatsoever on the financial
dealings, transparency, conflicts of interest etc re kate bingham.

i was commenting solely on the sneering remark that you added
on about her being a vaccine trial volunteer, framed as though that
was somehow an underhand or problematic thing for her to do.

hi fleccy, lots of EU citizens very understandably scared and angry,
so their politicians also get scared & angry, and desperately need to
find someone else to blame. process rather sad but not surprising.

? why the snide remark about an individual volunteering to be part of an
experimental vaccine trial? me, i‘m grateful so many people have taken
on the time, trouble (& small potential risk) of joining the trials. all these
companies would have been stuck without volunteer human guinea-pigs.

(i have also been part of a covid vaccine trial, tho’ not part of one now.)
