It’s really not that complicated imv.
i don’t think amit is mentally unwell, or has a personality disorder, or any of the other things being suggested by other posters.
my guess, i think he knows perfectly well what he’s doing, and he’s been doing it because he has been making money from it and he hopes that might continue at least a little while longer.
i doubt that cloudtag has *ever* had any product, IP or service that has any significant genuine value. there’s never been any independent confirmation that they have anything meaningful.
however, claiming that the company is about to IPO on an exchange somewhere, or that it has, or is going to, sell licences, IP, etc, has helped to encourage pis to buy new shares from amit.
his ongoing costs must be very low, since there he doesn’t seem to have any employees, co-directors, auditors, equipment, plant or premises, and that website can only be costing him $10 dollars a month or so to maintain. - so any shares he can sell to pis are pretty much pure profit from a tiny outlay.
he probably doesn’t think the chances of legal action by pis are anything other than minuscule — no-one seems to have done anything to hold him to account for the last few years anyway, s so why expect anything different next year or two.
i think some LTHs here just don’t want to see the nose that’s in plain sight right in front of their face. it really isn’t that complicated, imv.
