It is mildly interesting that today’s RNS frames it as being suspended at the request of the company, rather than being suspended by the AIM authorities for failing to publish accounts on time. (not sure how the wording compares with other AIM company recent announcements re accounts fails?)

Yup. - perhaps this actually shows that audit systems can [sometimes] work and *shouldn’t* be changed, if they have managed to pick up on something [potentially] rotten in the state of EUA.

I don’t think anyone will force him to shut down the website. it’s just a private, unlisted overseas registered company, and nothing do with the UK regulators that some peeps have been complaining to (hence hellie’s feedback in an earlier post). so frankly, nobody with the power to shut down such a website will see it as anything to do with them.

i think amit will keep paying the website hosting fees just so long as there are still a couple of pis who take his calls / return his emails, and might still hand over some more cash. once that finally stops, i guess the site will lapse, but that might be another year or two, given the apparent patience & gullibility of whispering et al.

accounts from previous years show that they lose money by mining … and so far as i am aware that are no independently verifiable figures available to prove that has changed. (… the tax change might, for instance, simply mean that they lose slightly less that previously but still won’t be profitable).

no RNS from the company as yet to prove that some of the stockpile has been sold yet, nor to tell the market how much money was received from it, or where that money went.

it would be interesting to know what the auditors are still trying to check. —- e.g. ? are they trying to review the stockpile because it has been added to? - or because some of it has been sold? - or are they trying to check that the stockpile actually exists, where it is meant to exist, and in the form it’s meant to exist in? - or are they trying to check how ‘concentrated’ the ‘concentrate’ really is? - or are they trying to work out what has happened to any money that has been received from the sale of some concentrate?

Explanation (5), that all the updates are utterly truthful and correct, and cloudtag has indeed done huge deals which will produce massive payouts for shareholders, is of course a possibility in this quantum multiverse where pretty much anything *could* happen, no matter how strange and unlikely, but it would not of course be an answer to whispering’s hypothetical question positing “.. if there was no truth to it…”

yeah, that’s actually a good hypothetical question, isn’t it? - but that’s already been discussed a few times already on this chatboard, although it seems that whispering doesn’t remember that.

i think i’ve noticed four candidate explanations floated so far:

1) amit may be trying to placate people who have already handed over money to him.

2) amit may be trying to keep some enthusiasm for cloudtag alive, in the hope that he might be able to sell more cloudtag shares (either from his own personal holding, or direct from the company) to pis who still believe there will eventually be a huge payout

3) amit might simply be having fun, like pikeyj, just putting out those updates purely because he enjoys it / finds it funny.

4) amit himself might genuinely believe that all those deals etc are true, because somebody else is persistently misleading him.

personally, i don’t think much of (3) & (4) as possible explanations to whispering’s hypothetical question. (2) seems the most plausible candidate imv, if one were considering a scenario where there is “no truth to it”, to use whispering’s phrase.

i can understand why rampers would want to believe / claim that, but so far as i am aware there are no figures in the public domain to support that assertion. (… happy of course to see links to any independently verifiable source if anyone can prove otherwise.)

? other than the website being taken down, whispering, is there anything else that you might see as constituting “clear evidence of fraud”? — or is amit’s website remaining operational literally the only criterion you believe is relevant?

… seems highly unlikely imv there are significant shorts around these days … seen as an effectively russian company by many western financial institutions, EUA has been effectively unborrowable for a long time since putin’s bloodlust boiled over.

I wonder what would count as ‘clear evidence’ for someone like whispering - a public confession on TikTok, or CCTV footage of amit dressed as the hamburglar with a swagbag, chortling as he has it away on his toes?

(bearing in mind also that evidence [not equal] proof, of course …)

whispering and her ilk seem to put excessive weight on the fact that amit’s website has not been taken down, imv.

… just to add to my 19:15, although this too does not help any shareholders get back any money already given to amit, my other suggestion would be to try to learn and understand what methods amit and associates have used in the various cloudtag games … as this may help pis better recognise and understand such situations in future and so avoid losing more money on other ‘ventures’ which use similar tactics.

I don’t really understand your answer, doug, in particular the wording of your first paragraph is not clear to me - sorry, not trying to be rude, just not quite getting your meaning.

i do get that you seem to think it is likely that the deals were genuine, but i was trying to ask if you are 99/100% certain of that, or if you might at least be beginning to entertain some doubt about the deals being genuine at all.

if i could think of a genuine suggestion that could benefit shareholders, then i would be very happy to offer one, but unfortunately i don’t actually think there are any useful possibilities to explore that stand any realistic change of shareholders getting any money back.

the best i can suggest is for anyone to avoid giving amit any more money, but that won’t recover money already handed over.

… it might be an idea to close down this chatboard, as it potentially provides a channel for amit to try to drum up more interest. but on the other hand, it’s a forum for shareholders to exchange ideas and experiences, and maybe someone else might be able to identify remedies etc that i can’t think of myself.

doug, genuine question, given all those utter b/s updates that never come true, and today’s further total farce from amit, is there not even some small part of you beginning to suspect that there is no $279.5 million at all?

… i.e. that the reason deal money is not being paid out to shareholders is simply because the deals don’t really exist?

& yes, i presume he was lying ‘tongue in cheek’ because for some reason he thinks it was funny. but it was still a blatant lie nonetheless, repeated over several posts.
