Hi offler, yes, agree that biden has been doing his best to make it hard for trump to turn off the taps.

but, jmo, i strongly suspect that if trump gets in, he and his team will nonetheless find ways to undermine those attempted safeguards. (i would be happy to be wrong about that, and of course i have no particular expertise regarding american legislative mechanisms re such funding!!)

On a broader note, the idea of ‘buy on rumour, sell on news’, is often an interesting and sometimes profitable one, but bear in mind that it implies the buy phase, **if** there is one, is already here … i.e. this stage where gecko and friends want peeps to get excited about rumours or speculation about an impending trump victory, or a ukrainian surrender …. but if e.g. trump does indeed get in, the implication of that aphorism is that would be the ‘sell on news’ phase.

Mr_w, i think that *if* trump gets in, he will indeed significantly curtail US support for ukraine, and that in turn will severely limit military and strategic options for retaking the eastern lands currently under russian occupation. but i don’t think american isolationism will turn putin into a dove and a friend of the west, and although it might make things less kinetic in the ukraine in the short and medium term, it won’t bring ‘peace’ to that area, and it won’t resolve the sovereignty issues.

particularly europe (including UK interests) will remain severely under threat from a rampant putin, and if trump hides away, the EU and UK will have to ramp up their military stance still further rather than kissing putin.

none of this makes EUA’s poor quality assets any more valuable than they have been for years and years.

Astounding that even someone like tim still believes, even today, that there was genuine working tech in the onitor! … worth remembering, for instance, with that cr*ppy little MSc in health psychology project, cloudtag utterly failed to provide even one properly working onitor for that project to use.

Depends how many suckers are prepared to fall for the repeated ramps by the telegram group (as with that previous spike driven by garbage whispers about DFS publication), or the more common or garden day trading rampers such as gecko and TCM, who are busy pumping the idea that good opinion polls for trump, or military victories by russia, will cause EUA’s share price to soar.

if enough newbies / suckers keep falling for those kind of ramps, and are happy to get spiked so that the likes of TCM and gecko can dump & leave others holding the baby, then sure, the s/p might go beyond 3p again. …. but eventually, the supply of gullible punters with fresh money to burn will dry up.

worth bearing in mind amidst all of this, EUA utterly failed to sell any of their so-called ‘assets’ well before putin invaded ukraine, and similarly they couldn’t sell anything when trump was actually in power last time round.

further ukrainian misery /putin joy won’t make a loss-making mine profitable.

Hi TCM, nah, i wouldn’t say that EUA is my “absolute favourite share”.

it’s one that i do find quite interesting and sometimes entertaining to watch and chat about (perhaps less so in recent times as there’s been v little real news) … but as a share to invest in or take seriously, it would be on my Z list rather than A list.

some of the shares that i would rate quite positively to invest in (such as AZN, BAE, AV., SSE, Shell, Tesco, etc) are ones that i would post about least … they are already very well covered and discussed by financial journalists and other media, and in some ways are good precisely because they are steady, predictable, quality businesses. so there’s not really that much to say, and it’s relaxing just to buy and hold with an occasional trading slice.

(always lovely to hear from old acquaintances. i think you also used to be a big fan of RMS … not one i ever followed, tbh. ? isn’t that the one which renamed as NNNN? - & how did that work out for ya, champ? CTAG, EUA, RMS, mmm ….)
