The RNS and your well written reply is still speculation, not fact. It’s ifs and buts which is why I am still waiting out good non holder/long position to find that for me.

As for SP comment of course i would be happy, we are all here (bar you) investing hard earned money for us and our families, and those inc myself and my remaining holding I sincerely do wish for the best if that happned and it’s never nice to lose large sums of money. Where is this FACT in black and white on an RNS stating “the major has not walked” Scully? Or is it easier to whinge at others statements. Hyprocrite Maybe you can cut and paste that clear wording and fact, as after all you’ve just shot Trek down saying there is no evidence to say the major has walked but it appears you have black and white evidence stating the opposite. trek couldn’t agree more. Certain individually seem to think a deal tomorrow or maybe BP, Exxon, Total all popping over this week for a cuppa and an offer lol. Sentiment is ****ed here, market has clearly stated what it thinks, and imo no news with be until AGM at best. Will open min 10% down tomorrow, looking at charts will probably hit 1.5p low, if that doesn’t hold its 0.95-1.1p unless good news before. If this does open down in the morning there will imo be a surge of more sellers panicking and getting out before it drops lower. DYOR

Good post over at advfn. Sums it up well The deal with the major is over. If any of you took the trouble to read the RNS of 03/05/2018 you will note prior to the exclusivity agreement with the major BPC were already in talks with numerous parties. The major stepped in and had up until October 2018 (maximum) to extend the exclusivity agreement. They ended it two months early in August 2018. BPC is now back to discussions with the other parties that had led to nothing in the first place. Part of the exclusivity contract was that the identity of the major was not revealed. So shareholders will never ever know who the major was or even if there was ever a major as some have suggested (worse tricks have been played on mug PIs). On hopes of a commercial deal BPC is currently valued at £31m. Let's see who among you is plain stupid enough to continue to hold this stock whilst the markets strip every single penny of value out of this worthless company.

Kapkina. Option 2 for me. Any new major would be spending another 3-4 months in DD. My view is (and it is only my view), they won’t just now find another “pop up” next week. You are looking October imo before anything meaningful to report. These things take time. I can’t see another major paying $ for exclusivity and they must now be nearly at the end of the $1 money they had (costs already been incurred plus costs going forward). Placing inbound October imo and AGM will be typical potter sell the dream take more mug PI money. Look at the history here.

No one has “bought” 1% of the company. That is speculation based upon a few large buys (although you will never be sure if buys are sells). There were also a hell of a lot of huge sells. And it’s likley PI we’re buying for trading, trying to catch the bottom or at 1.7p ish at the time they could see opportunities with the trade and volume. Maybe the risk at sub 2p is now worth a gamble. The market think very differently. No one would be buying (which would likely be an ii) after Friday’s news. Pure speculation. New investors please DYOR and don’t buy on the basis of some of the weird and wonderful posts this weekend.

MickR. Valid question. My opinion is that if that were the case and the major was nearing an offer they wouldn’t have issued the rns Friday. They would have simply issued a “deal done” rns 4 working days later (max in line with timeframe). There is no reason they had to issue the rns Friday imo unless it was game over. Further validated by the wording they are looking at other assets based options, farm in (why say that if you had a farm in nearly there) and other financing options. Most are not grasping that last part of the rns “Bahamas Petroleum in conjunction with its adviser Macquarie Bank, has therefore recommenced broader, asset-based discussions with third parties in addition to those non-asset based financing discussions already ongoing for the funding of its first exploration well”

They can’t waive immediately as the contract has a set end date! You can only give notice to terminate (which is normally around 7 days before legal end date). This is normal legal practice. You have to cease on the date given in the contract ie NDA. It’s not rocket science and has been covered on this board multiple times Scully
