Hi All. The world is in a mess. Oil heading to $150/$200/barrel, nat gas heading higher, fertilizer/food shortages. There will be a tidal wave of inflation and rates will have to rise causing nations to default on loans affecting pension funds and financial markets. Things are going to get very bad very quickly.

There is no way out of this apart from more wars and misery.

Hi YNWA. I have stated here several times that I fully expect to see 10k/oz early next year. The present pull back is due to oil producing nations and importers selling gold for liquidity and this position will reverse when the oil starts to flow again.

When “normality” returns I see a massive awakening about the uselessness of fiat/debt and a quick shift to gold ownership

The paper gold market is on its last legs and along with it the price fixing

Hi all. In the not too distant past the talk was of debt in millions. Then it went to billions then trillions now there is talk of debt in quadrillions. They will soon have to dream up a new word for debt levels.

Gold @ $10k/oz is guaranteed in the not too distant future, but the numbers are irrelevant. What is important is "how much physical do you own". You will need it. ATB Speedy

Hi Lee. I do not use TA and guess work is not an option when wealth preservation is at stake. I use constant research and self gained knowledge to help me see the direction got the POG. Over the mid to long term “it ain’t down”. ATBSpeedy

HiAll. Talk of a TO is premature. There are many individual experts here that follow the Ggp story to the extreme. Even they do not yet know the full story here. When big players look for a target they want to know what they are buying and they want it at below value. Both those points are not achievable withGGp. Hi Element. Physical gold and GGP are at either end of the risk spectrum. They are completely different types of investment. Gold mining is as risky as it gets whilst tax free physical gold is about as risk free as it gets. You are correct that GGP stock has the potential to create more profit than physical gold but retirees should not gamble to that extent.

I have always had a target for selling and when that target is reached the proceeds will be used to buy Gold Britannias.

Investing is not always about maximizing profits but about peace of mind. ATB Speedy

Hi Chisler. There are many factors driving the POG. Inflation is one but is net zero. The ending of the price suppression is real profit so is increasing demand. What most folk miss is the awakening of joe public to the value of holding physical gold. That , when it really happens, will reset the price. ATB Speedy

Hi TMT. For me the best asset a retiree could hold over the next 10 years is tax free gold. No point in having income from a falling value. Much better to have profit.

My intentions, when I sell my GGP stock, is a purchase of gold Britannias. These coins have served me very well through my life and I see no reasons to think it will change. ATB Speedy

Hi elcobbledore. Going all in with a miner is a very high risk strategy. I am sure that GGP has £30/share all over it by 2030 but it will be a bumpy ride There are so many things that can go wrong with a mine and as yet we only have one producing asset (must admit it is quite a big one). Gold at $10k/oz by 2030 is a given and soooooo much safer. For me i am relaxed with a 60/40 split. ATB Speedy
