Hi Tygra. Wow, what a pessimistic view. We have finance in place for our 30% and backers to allow us to take back the 70%. The mine is nearly at the mother load and we have the opportunity to purchase an existing processing plant at Telfer. We have a BODs with the experience to take us to production. I am of the opinion that the market has got this wrong and will soon realize the potential here. With gold continuing its rise the profits here are too massive for the market to ignore GGP for much longer. ATB Speedy
Hi Blue Toff. Happy for you. This bull run has just started and the recent rise is just a taster of things to come. I say this due to many factors with the biggest one being the coming implosion of the debt market. Most central banks around the globe are buyers of physical gold and so should we be. You ask "up to $2500/oz" i say well beyond that, this bull could last for a decade or more. I will be a seller when i can swap a few Britts for a 3 bed house, or leave instructions for my heirs. ATB Speedy
Hi All. Not sure about Dons correction statements. 5 years show a doubling of the POG and saying the POG will correct back to $1900/oz is very pessimistic. If/when there is a crash in the stock market it is obvious the the PMs market will get "thrown out with the bath water". That is totally irrelevant to the researched investor. This bull run is just getting started. ATB Speedy
Hi Tinners. Please go away and do some research prior to talking ballocks. I can not be bothered to counter your post as it is so stupid. Speedy
Hi JSP. In reply to your post yesterday at 17: 30. I agree about buying physical gold but encouraging folks to "make sure you can put your hands on it" is ill advised. There is no problem keeping a few sovs or Britts at home but for a large holding storage at place of purchase is essential, if only to keep good delivery status. ATB Speedy
Hi Jerry. Good morning to you. I concur. I suspect his style is due to trying to impress rather than just getting the message out there.
"Buy gold because it is going up" would be my approach along with a few reasons why. ATB Speedy
Hi Major. You beat me to it. Its all about risk reward. Mining is risky enough but exploring is of the scale risky. A £10k investment in Newmont will, maybe return you a few £K/yr. The same invested in GGP has the potential to return x10 or more. We are in a position of envy with a massive find, funding in place and backers that know their business and have the intention of taking GGP to the top of the pile. Research is crucial and the most important point is good management. We have a BODs with a track record of delivering, proven by the fact that funding has been made available. Funding in this sector has been more than difficult and many have gone to the wall, we are the exception to the rule.
I am of the opinion that the risk factor for GGP has been greatly reduced. The big unknown is how much of GGP will we own when producing, any fig above 30% will be a bonus. ATB Speedy
Hi Jerseycrew. Good to see you are still around. You state "who would have guessed where the POG would be heading" As far as i am concerned it is not a guess but a dead cert. Anyone with an eye on the events of the last few decades would have seen the pointers for a massive, massive raise in the POG. What is happening now is the manipulators are loosing control of the PMs market due to physical buying and this is where the real profits will come from as opposed to a rise due to inflation. The gold market (including miners) will reap huge profits from the continuing bull run. ATB Speedy
Hi Culpepper. I must admit that some of the explanations for the SP are a bit "out there" but your long winded posts show how naive you really are. In your world there is no slight of hand or dodgy actions. Your approach to investing ensures your continued poverty. The gold mining industry is full to the brim with dodgy individuals that will do whatever is needed to profit. The only way to prosper for investors in this industry is to do your research, buy and hold till your sell price is met. ATB Speedy
Hi Mh01. Got to love Andrew, but even i find it hard to follow his terminology. 1 hour of talking that i will attempt to condense down to a short sentence. "Gold has started a bull run to tell the grandkids about". ATB Speedy
Hi Taverham. I class myself as a good judge of character and having met and talked to SD many times and discussed with others that have done the same i am 100% convinced of his good intentions and his drive to see GGP progress into a multi billion $ Co. Exploring is one of the riskiest yet most rewarding games on the planet and GGP are still very much in the game. ATB Speedy
Hi Angelis. That pic top right gives me the fizz. ATB Speedy
Hi Blantyreboy. The only unknown is how soon. ATB Speedy
Hi SAS. Must admit to having done that after a fish restaurant in Porto tried to rip me of, was great fun watching the owners face as i turned away about 2 dozen English punters. ATB Speedy
Hi Blantyreboy. Sooner than you think is my bet. ATB Speedy
Hi Ace. Thats just one scenario out of many, and nearly all are win win for ggp. ATB Speedy
Hi Aim. No town hall needed just the RNS stating Hav and Telfer purchased with bank debt with twiggy taking a 49% holding. ATB Speedy
Hi Southerncomfort. Your assumption that "hard core loyalists" are concerned is, for me, wrong. The SP has no bearing on value and the BODs are far too busy at the moment to pander to fickle, get rich quick punters who should not be invested in exploring Cos. If you have done your research and know "the game" then sleeping at night is no problem. ATB Speedy
Hi Vitautus. You have obviously never picked a strawberry. ATB Speedy
Hi All. I suspect the SP below .6p has triggered quite a few stop loss positions. Please remember that the market knows where your stops are positioned and you are an easy target. Once all the stops have been "harvested" i can see a firming of the SP and then the rise to production as the shorts leave. The rise may be quite dramatic depending on the outcome of negotiations with Newmont and you may find it hard to buy back in. ATB Speedy
