With so much world debt govs cannot fight inflation with high interest rates. Current affairs dictate that high inflation is on its way (lets hope it does not turn into hyper inflation)

High inflation and low rates are a tailwind for the POG ( just one tail wind, there are many more)

I stick to my call for $10k/oz early 2027

We must accept that inflation increases AISC, but our FCF will remain extremely high due to the value of our main asset.

We have seen estimates for our SP from posters using the above POG and it looks juicy.

Hi All. The world is becoming very erratic. Every where you look “experts “are saying do this or do that. Trying to gauge and play this market if difficult in the extreme and most will lose.

Gold is and has always been the best store of wealth. All this volatility is just a side show inthe grand scheme of things. What is guaranteed is that gold will not go away and will continue to extend this bull run to levels that today seem impossible.

Hi Panama. The 2 reasons he stated for the pullback are 100% correct and i am sure i pointed those reasons out in earlier posts, i cant be arsed to check. What is important is how long the oil problem will continue. I am sure there will be buyers ready to snap up any gold being sold by the oil states and the sellers for liquidity will dry up, if they have not already. ATB Speedy

Hi TMT. The end of your last sentence sums up the problem. Giving out funds for divis takes away funds for acquisitions. SD could use debt but then you are using debt to fund divis, in a round about way.

Most of our cash pile will be used to fund Hav and Telfer. Any funds left over i would like to see used for expansion. We are a young company and growth is more important than divis. The case for divis attracting instos is rather compelling though. Decisions, decisions. I am sure SD with make the correct one. ATB Speedy

Hi Tug. That 10yr. bear/sideways market for gold was false. Manipulated by the paper market bullion banks. Also the MSM and powerful people dissed gold to such an extent that it went under the radar.

That manipulation is drawing to a close with the Chinese taking control with a physical gold exchange. I see no way for gold to enter another 10yr at bear phase.

When quoting history you need to look at the present set up and that is completely different to that period.

Global debt is so high interest rates cant be raised to fight inflation. The bond market may see it differently and that would bankrupt nations and send gold higher

Oil being bought in Yuan/gold and China demanding payment in gold for certain exports is a massive big fat tusker.

If the USA is sent home from Iran with its tail between its legs the dollar will crumble. The possibilities of a USA defeat should not be ignored.

It looks like gold will be used as a means of settlement as opposed to fiat.

Not all gold producers are the same but the sector as a whole has been hit. GGP is in the enviable position of having a massive FCF,huge cash reserves and no debt.

Hi All. Ask yourself a question “would you lend your hard earned to a government addicted to increasing debt”. Watch the bond market very closely. UK gilts up 33bp. Debt laden govs are unable to service debt at the current level without more debt to cover. CBs in the g7 are desperate to control inflation but cannot raise rates. Bond buyers will force their hand into paying higher rates. How will govs respond? Raise taxes and go to war.

This pullback will be short lived as the world wakes up to the real value of gold.

Folks panicking about the pull back should just look at a 1 year chart. It still looks good and will look even better in a short space of time. ATB Speedy
