@ Victor. SD is controlled by law and can only officially disclose what is allowed under mining law. However, if you had attended a TH or one of Bamps presentations you would be aware of what is coming down the line. The MK today is what the market prices us at with the official information at hand. There is so much news coming our way and that news will re rate the MK to true value.

Hi All. What a year for the PM market. Gold needed to hold over $4450/oz to confirm the consolidation phase is over, as you all know it didnt. How much longer can it last is anyones guess. $4200/oz needs to hold and if it reaches there i will be a buyer with both hands.

Hi All When Bear Stearns collapsed due to their short silver bets the official news was out in hours. If UBS have been liquidated we would all know by now. Instead of believing tin pot outlets that just repeat the rumours i prefer to wait for the finance authorities to announce news.

This termoil in the PMs market is just a blip on the way to a much higher price for gold and silver. ATB Speedy

Hi All. Much too much BS being spouted about a silver short blowing up. The silver market is very small and a too big to fail bank will not be broken by a short position going against them. The pull back to around $75/oz is profit taking after such a dramatic run and probably a new, big, short taken out. We will not know until the COT report next Friday showing the position at close of play tomorrow.

One thing is for sure, if the paper market was still in control this bull would have stopped at $35/oz.

Short term prospects are impossible to determine but med to long this bull is still rampaging. ATB Speedy

Hi Ricardo. The bid offer spread from various dealers is alarmingly different. Beware dealers offering a high buy premium but offsetting that with a high buy back promise.

If taking delivery and self storing tell no one, not even close family and friends. Do not insure, too many will know and go to the dealer and pick up in person to avoid delivery folks knowing. This all sounds a bit over the top but is totally necessary. ATB Speedy

Hi Ricardo. Silver Britts are a very long term hold and no good for short term trading. Premiums are eye watering and sell prices always disappoint.

I have held them for over 20 years waiting for the price fixing to come to a close. ATB Speedy

Hi Ricardo. Look around for a lowest premiums and purchase gold Britannias. I have always advocated "store at place of purchase" around half of 1 % for storage and insurance. I have re evaluated that approach and am now wary of holding gold outside of my direct control. ATB Speedy

Hi Becontrarian. You are correct, the bigger the operator the less risk. With multiple mines in different countries the risks are minimized, but the long term rule still applies.

A spread between physical gold and a leveraged play with miners is not a bad thing. ATB Speedy

Hi Jerry/TMT. Good debate about oil. The driver for the 1980 spike was war, the driver for the 2008 spike was financial stress. What do you see as the driver for another spike up? Also, as with gold miners, the explorers have more upside, any tips on them. ATB Speedy
