Catchme, in answer to your question, not many.
My friend did sell a million the other week @ 8.65, and bought back for a penny less, thus making £10k.

But unless your prepared to gamble that the SP would retract again, it’s not a game I’m interested in.

The last time I sold any was March 2020 when Covid first had massive effects on all shares. By the time I’d bought back, I’d lost 1.3 million shares due to the sudden climb of the SP.
I’ve never tried doing it again, As I’ve said many times, I’m happy with my holding and won’t be selling any until such time the price reaches what I think is fair value.

Aquakidd, and do you really think it would even be considered. Tell me who apart from LTH's could possibly benefit from such a low ball offer.
Certainly not Shaun Day, certainly not Tribeca or Wyloo, and certainly not the vast majority of smaller holders of upto 1 million shares.

So please explain why your so confident that we are in for an imminent takeover.

Pernickety, there’s nothing wrong with your figures but, let’s assume someone does try and take GGP out by way of a low-ball offer, then in that instance, we can always say No.

Just because we are nowhere near the value that most of us think we should be, doesn’t mean we’re going to accept a cheeky offer. That’s why Shaun has done everything he can to protect ourselves “IF” that scenario arises.

Even the ii’s we have aboard wouldn’t even vote it through never mind us Pi’s.

Speedie, it’s no surprise that Turkey are buying gold.

After the destruction we have all seen, along a 300 mile fault line after the earthquake, they are hedging their bets, that purchasing gold now, will help pay towards the cost’s of such a huge rebuilding project.

They along with many other countries see the POG continuing to rise, to where, nobody knows. But in these uncertain times anything is possible.

Unlike our resident professional, I am like you a Pi, albeit maybe a little to blunt for my own good sometimes.

I was just expressing my point of view, and I know we’re not all the same, but I’d much rather read and digest discussion’s about things that are known, as opposed to one’s that aren’t.

We all want the same outcome here otherwise we wouldn’t be invested.
I’m sorry if you don’t like the way I express myself sometimes, but it’s definitely true, as you get older, you get grumpier.

antigua18, where have I implied your a load of shysters, I haven’t mentioned anything like that at all.

You obviously use the BB for different reasons to me.

I use it to find out useful factual information posted by others, that I may have not seen elsewhere.

I use it to shoot down obvious posters who aren’t as they seem to some, then shove em where the sun doesn’t shine.

I also use it sometimes for a bit of good humoured banter between members who I think can see the funny side of things.

What I don’t use this BB for, is as a soundboard for any conspiracy theories or total conjecture of how things may or not progress.

I fortunately have fellow investors to talk to, on any topics I’m not to sure on, which is why I do fact and not speculation.

I don’t mind reading the odd post regarding what, if’s & but’s, but for the thread to last over several days, in my view, is a complete waste of time. ie the valuation of the 5% for instance. Thousands of post’s, and not one correct.
