Itsouthere, you say “judging by the lack in volume, there’s a total lack of fresh blood”.
Well no surprise there is there.
Volume has been very low for months.
Only around 10-14 million traded daily, and probably half of that number is, as has been discussed before, Chuckle Brother from me 2 you trades.
From what I see here, most investors are either accumulating bit by bit, or like myself happy with what they already hold. They’re certainly not selling in any substantial quantities.
Let’s say half of the trades are sells, (and that’s very debatable) then even over the course of 250 trading days per year, that would only equate to a sell off of a quarter of shares in issue, thus 75% of shares being held in very tight hands.
Now why is that I wonder ?
Forces are at work here that 99.99% of us are not privy to, but you can bet your bottom dollar that it is to the detriment of Pi’s, making some disgruntled and panicked into selling.
Me personally, I couldn’t give a dam, what Newcrest & Newmont get up to. There’s a helluva lot of gold in the ground and they ain’t just gonna leave it there are they.
Whether or not GGP play a part in mining it, or get bought out, it’s a win/win.
If you follow anyone’s advice, then to me look no further than Callum Baxter, that guy knows his onions, and with him still holding 85M GGP shares, I’ll do what he does.
He obviously thinks this is just the beginning of the GGP story, otherwise why did he not sell up himself.
