I now doubt the OM decision will be taken this month.
Looks like it will drag out into August and who would be surprised if we were still waiting at the end of August!!

The good news is it is blindingly obvious they aren't discussing after 4 years how to dismiss the claim. I just hope the award is worth the frustrating wait.

Whilst there may be an element of DD to this case, there is no evidence that MOG or ROCK failed to do DD.
There is no DD that can eliminate the hypothetical risk that a government will backtrack, change the rules or remove permits.
If Italy had said before hand 'we might revoke permits', then that is a risk to factor in,
however Italy did not, as far as I know, suggest any such thing to MOG or Rock. This is a red herring I feel.

Guessing Rocks SP by money in the bank is not accurate otherwise we would be way less that 9p.
Getting say $100m make a bigger impact that the cash alone.
It make SL more likely to happen and shareholders to keep %.
I Don't expect $100m, but even $30m would be very welcome!

I hope tomorrow it brings a nice big fat award to Rock that sees your investment quadruple or more from where we are now.

As has been discussed, the general view is a win for Rock,
after all it is very unlikely you would discuss for 2 years to say case dismissed !
So that leaves the discussion over how much, which would be complex & strongly contested by both sides.

My guess is $30m net to Rock, but even $15 to $20million would be very welcome.
Anything above $40m then happy days.

Volume of less than 500,000 and down 6%. Heck I have more than that!!

The only thing I know is that nobody here knows anything about the ICSID decision, there is no 'bad news' there is just ''no news''.
Some may be getting cold feet & bailing re OM award, but I feel the odds are reasonably stacked in favour of an award for Rockhopper, somewhere between $10m net, to possibly $60m, although I feel $30m more likely.

Have read again & picked out a few details
1. Ore throughput is down quarter to quarter, 538ton to 509ton, however June was 577ton which is higher than Q1 average.

2. Grades! From the Rns ''Increasing the proportion of high-grade ore in the mill feed to 100% going forward remains the primary focus for the Company during ramp-up''. In Q1 high grade was only 43%, Q2 63% although they are still blending in the low grade stock. Plan going in H2 is 100% with obvious benefits to gold production.

3. And finally from the Rns - screens for CIP tanks and trommel screen for the SAG discharge which are currently being installed with completion expected in August, positioning the mill to operate ''above design capacity in the second half of 2021 and beyond''.

So the plan & target for H2 to is to exceed the ton per month design capacity, which together with 100% higher grades will if implemented, result in a significant increase in gold produced !

It is an ok update. Not a stunning leap forward, but demonstrably an improvement from Q1.
Best bit is grades mined are up where they should be, although they seem to be blending in some Q1 lower grades.
Worst is ore throughput is down. Good to see ore mined is up and grades are up however they need to focus on getting ore through the mill quicker.
Good exploration results of course.
It is going in the right direction but more patience needed.

The lack of trades just shows positions were taken before the start of the month when ICSID said they should declare the award one way or the other.

Just thinking out aloud, if HBR did not want to exploit SL,
perhaps FIG should set up their own pseudo national oil company called Maggie OIl & Gas, or MOG.
Buy out HBR's SL %, borrow a few billions from UKG and get the ball rolling !!

I just asked my partner if knowing where the gold in her rings came from,
& that if it was ethically mined, would that be desirable and worth something,
& she said it would be. Betts may be ahead of the crowd on this.

If HBR want to write off SL then I am sure a fully appraised ready to go oil field, with 100's of million barrels, break even of around $35-40 and $billions of profit at $74/bbl, would be very attractive to someone with more sense and would happily take it off HBR's hands.

And Zama looking a dodgy play, operated by a dodgy Government back company, for a minority owner like HBR.
I feel HBR must seriously be looking at divesting Zama, that's if anyone else wants to roll the dice with Pemex.

Quite possible CitizenTS. HBR could do both, or neither. However if it is a choice of being in control of one verses being controlled by an erratic Govt oil company, I feel they would cash in Zama every time.

to even consider Zama over SL.

Pemex seem unreliable and rather accident prone, the latest was a spectacular burning eye in the sea.

I am not sure why HBR would entertain Zama over SL for a second, or have anything to do with Pemex.
Especially as they have a huge shovel ready, well appraised, safe oil field with substantial exploration upside, and as operator calling the shots.

However it might still be possible if the deal is structured to only officially be withdrawn
after Italian settlement money has been fully paid.
