I’ve often thought that EV vehicles via batteries is not sustainable longer term due to Lithium being an earth resource in relatively limited supply. So unless alternatives to Lithium come along and I’m sure there are plenty out there in the pipeline, we may not see a massive switch to battery only EV vehicles. There is clearly a market for EVs and we should see more and more being used. That leaves AFC in partnership with Rolec in a strong position to supply EVs off-grid.
I wonder then, is the massive market potential more towards the off grid diesel generator replacement where AFC will flourish? There must be so many applications for this market, it’s truly mind boggling. Whether it’s building sites, mobile masts, remote mines, music festivals, fair grounds or back-up power, AFC will have a product to satisfy demand. In the short term EV charging will be an ideal market to demo how all of these other applications can be serviced.
Then of course we have AlkaMem and this seems to be a by-product that none of us had anticipated. This will no doubt provide a separate revenue stream and introduce AFC into markets otherwise previously not anticipated.
I’d be lying if I said I’m not nervous about my investments at the moment, and the trolls we have seen recently show how greed and and misinformation can exacerbate that sense of nervousness.
However, I am under no illusion that AFC are about to start a long and difficult journey to successfully delivering orders. This won’t happen overnight but from what we have learned over the past couple of weeks, we are in a much stronger position than we’ve ever been or lead to believe in previous years.
I hope AFC board continues to respect its shareholders as we’ve witnessed over recent weeks and the momentum of news is maintained so that the company grows, as we all want it to.
