RE: Results tomorrow24 Feb 2022 04:31
TBH I think shareholders, many of whom are hardworking normal men and women (such as my wife, an intensive care nurse) simply trying to help and provide for their families, invested in this share not because they are fat cats smoking cigars wanting to make money out of others but because the share itself is simply a financial instrument that looked as though it was going to go up and help them to achieve their dreams, or provide more for their kids. The stock and company has been a battered by claims (false or otherwise - that argument is long gone). I think most shareholders are at the point of giving up if they haven't already. If Amigo wants to fold then that may be the best thing long term and the invested money is lost but unfortunately it also means that claims won't be paid to any great extent, so everyone loses, including jobs lost at Amigo. Funnily enough this comes at a time when access to finance will be a necessity for many. My understanding is that Amigo, with Gary at the helm, was looking to put together plans and structures to help and support financial inclusion, which is why I was happy to invest. I didn't invest until Gary stated this. Others no doubt did the same. Whatever happens happens now. I don't expect results to be good.
