Agree at these prices i wouldn't be surprised of a takeover E& and liberty could join forces then split the group...Question is how much a share will you be willing to accept?

Think this deal will go through as not enough individual share holders happened before to me with GLO made a killing of over 60p a share but was gutted to lose a good quarterly dividend payer like this one. Got in here just under 60p so will make a good profit but again is frustrating as another good quarterly payer is gone...Maybe a counter offer could up the ante....GLA

Lgen is a bargain buy along with Aviva...Both have done me very well over the last few years ...Lgen has just gone ex div so an excellent entry point ....good luck and let me know how you get along....

Yes you're right right about the debt I stand corrected.....I got these like many others from the demerger happy to keep for the mean time and will see where we stand in a couple of years from now.....

If i remember rightly Unilever offered £50 Billion so a long way for the sp to go to get near that figure...

Took a punt on this today think this is well under valued time will tell as with all investments am looking at a 3-5 year hold plus this pays an excellent dividend at the moment

Went ex div this morning so you would have had to been in before yesterdays close......

Wisebear if there was a takeover bid what would accept per share? Personally i'd take anything over £1.40 as this would give me a nice healthy profit....

Think i will hang on a while longer but must be sold before the end of the month to move into an isa....Rob as to where to put with the proceeds have been having a look at DUKE EAT and DWF as i have a major holding already of LGEN in my isa....or maybe just sit on it till the time feels right.....Wish i had a crystal ball.....
