I buy and hold OMI with a dream of a valuation even 10 times today if we are lucky, please actually read my post. I said in reply to a question that we could very roughly value EACH million ounces measured indicated and inferred as worth our current share price (rather than the 10 times as much that some come up with by trying to value a mine by ounces in ground times gold price less aisc, no world mine has ever been values at anything remotely approaching this). However a million ounces reserves would be a very small mine. Finding 10 times the ounces, really a minimum to become tier one, our shares would be worth ten times the current price. However using my figure of valuing reserves at $200 per ounce is generous.. Centamin, that Dr R uses as an example, is valued at $150 an ounce, for its approx 10m ounces (not even tier one) measured and inferred, with a valuation around $1.5billion. Thanks,

Ah another directed at me Dr R, yes I am sadly very familiar with Centamin’s aisc which is now $1150-$1250 plus another $200 capex per ounce mainly to attend to the wall. Ie around $1400. However before miners start making profits ounces in the ground are valued at far less than sales - aisc - taxes - other costs (which will give Cey incidentally hardly any profit this year). Now do some proper research and stop dissing others who try and answer a reasonable questions about where we variously see the valuation going helpfully and informatively, and why; you may have very different ways of valuing than the industry that could also be helpful and informative if not courteous. For Orosur it is really a question of how many ounces they may find inferred or better measured and indicated, I just told wrote what these are valued at by the industry. Don’t shoot the messenger or he won’t bring you messages that could even be useful one day.

I am neither intentionally misleading nor I hope totally clueless. Kitco 2015 when gold was $1000 but aiscs also far lower said “In fact, the following chart shows that 56% of 253 takeovers occurred at a value less than $45/oz Au and 80% were below $90/oz Au:” ie. between £25 and £50 an ounce or around 20% of the difference between aisc and price so in today’s money $200 is quite generous. More recently in 2021 munknee said “ got these numbers:
• US$20 per ounce Inferred
• US$30 per ounce for M&I
• US$160 per ounce for P&P ”

Ps 700k here is nearly 7% of my portfolio as Hoc and Cey have done very badly while this has improved

Lovely to see such a wise person here. 2020 was partly down due to Covid partly due to their Arctata mine closing part way through 2019 as cost of mining became greater than sales partly other mines running down a bit, I think 2021 will be below 2019. They badly need new resources, they have scary politics in a country with terrible covid, and they had a recent bus disaster losing around 2 dozen miners, however:
The share price has halved
There could be good exploration news with next figures
There is likely to be good news on Biolantanido rare earths
The bad news and new president are I believe already in the price, so this has the ability to surprise on the upside. The president is already sounding more conciliatory. I think the second quarter figures and forward view on July 21st are very important this time. You might be better waiting.

Well our share price was a lot higher than 75p. Just looking back 15 years ago my holding was 5417 that would this week have cost me £1100, last week £750, last year a bit over £100. Well they cost me £13134.70, over 15 years ago in a few transactions so average of £2.43 a share! This has been a crazy rollercoaster but I managed to average down so got my initial £2.43 down to about 11p, now I am averaging up! In answer to your question the past price has nothing to do with anything as they were a miner in Urugay rather than an explorer in Columbia. It is currently impossible to say what the market cap should be at full potential. this from Kitco: "An early-stage explorer has no tangible value. Gold in the ground is probably valued around $200 an ounce on a good day, we will own quarter of it so $50 an ounce; thus a million ounces would give us a market cap of $50m, about our current market cap. Hope that helps

House building still waiting for these shares to change, v miserable, but thanks for asking. I still believe that gold will be helped by falling real interest rates, but certainly taking a very long while. I didn’t sell Fres because I didn’t like it but because I like other more, so I sold Fres for THS, HOC and a few OMI in that order. I hoped that THS might have some surprises in the results today but it is more steady as she goes which is actually great as it is undervalued as long as rhodium doesn’t fall as much as the price expects, though other posters disagree vehemently with this view; Hoc because President elect Castillo has said he will do nothing on mine tax that miners don’t agree with, and it will only be on super profits, that with Hoc one could say chance would be a fine thing, also I expect very good rare earth news with the figures later this month, and the market hasn’t taken account of this; and Orosur had ‘spectacular’ drilling results this week rising near 100% but fell, back on profit taking to plus 50% at which I think it is good valueirrespective of the gold price, unlike Fres. And you, what are you in and how are you, big shame Tiger was drummed off these boards but like much in this strange world they are often intolerant of circumspect views?

Ths it is a brilliant share, great results, undervalued, PE about three, I have bought another hundred thousand pounds roughly over the last few weeks in the 120s. However my post said I did not expect the share price to soar today as results good as expected, and it could get knocked a bit over the next few weeks if rh falls further but I am a great believer in ths, see my reasons why rh should rise in mid term posted earlier. So why you conclude I am anti a share I buy more of, or gloomy because I suggest Market unlikely to react super exhuberantly to news it knows about and falling rh could knock it?? Also bought more Hoc this week as think New left wing president worries over done in the price and OMI yesterday on the pull back after great news lol. Don’t knock me for being a messenger on where the power of crowd psychology takes the market imho. Live all opinions and love being wrong even more when shares soar. So follow me and buy lots more THS rather than complaining I am not trying to talk it up that makes no difference. Now let’s hope it soars

Why extremely gloomy. I said I don’t expect share price to move a lot, as results are just as predicted (which is great but I believe already in the price) but maybe I am wrong; I hope so and that you are right and share price is way up, and back over 150 shortly, let’s speak again in 10 mins but I wish these boards would be more tolerant of any views that a share price isn’t about to soar when that seems unlikely to the writer. I also said that if Rh continues to fall I think it will affect share price but again not gloom but an honest possibility.

Results as expected, steady as she goes, I do not expect shares to move much either way unless rhodium price now 17600 and basket nearing $3000 begin to affect price or disappointment at guidance not raised or low increase in cash from Vulcan etc.

I certainly don’t call you a ramper, you think much like me, a very long term holder who adds at propitious moments, I am not a trader although I was lucky enough to sell a third at 41p as Consodered they had gone to fast too soon, but bought those back in the lower 30’s and mainly 20’s. I meant by tampers those who are not only intolerant of any other view but insulting to the proponent. However much some believe in a share it pays to tolerate and even listen to the other side. That is why I do not miss some of the Telegraoh mob who will only tolerate super positive views, which I call ramping. Pps chicken I like PM’s long term but expect a further fall now which could be big, so I sold all my remaining Fres and put some here as more dependent on what they find than this years gold price, and the rest in Hoc as I think oversold on Castillo president of Peru as think his bark will be worse than his bite. Ah the Telegram escapees always seemed to rap stories of this share about to soar as it fell all the way from 40 to 14 enticing new people in and rudely disparaging of anyone who tried to explain the price or even got direction right. Now we read of the likes of one investor today who put all his eggs in this basket at about 26p this week. As Webbs just said this is not for the faint hearted but thrilling for those who have it as part of a portfolio and. can afford to be sanguine and sit out this amusing and thrilling ride. Ps Chicken I only bought an extra 10% this week, back up to spot on 700k, on the pullback average 20p, on the basis of the 10grams and Brad, not prone to hyperbole, saying spectacular and once in a lifetime. It may go back further but he seemed pretty convinced we’d get the next $4m which should be around 4 to 6 weeks. Now I’ve bought more expect it will tumble

Chicken legs, at least many of the rappers have left for Telegram. As you know I am certainly not a ramper but bought more at the end of yesterday and again today. I think this should rise when Newmont Agnico pay their $4m shortly to stay in the game. I just hope Brad, who does not seem very keen on his shareholders, he certainly made his displeasure at talking to us late felt, doesn’t spend our money on other folly, tinny or otherwise, but keeps it to keep us going here.

Whether your trade is listed sell or buy here is pretty random. Mine is the 22789 shares listed as sold at 13.32. Actually it was my buy but you can tell from the price, the 127’s at similar time were the sells

Breaktwister I don’t think the market is yet aware of Castillo’s softening this week plus gold and silver have been weaker. I sold my Fres and bought a few more Hoc today
