This bulletin board is getting quieter getting back slowly to where it used to be along with a gently falling price again. I suppose there is no hype just now to propel it up and it has stopped being the aim punting share flavour of the month, which IF fundamentals turn out good may be healthy, if they don’t miserable

Gosh you are a knowledgable lot here. Yes Rance is a subsidiary of New World which seems to be an essentially Chinese company which owns 15% of Tharisa, and a Chinese stainless steel maker has another 7%. They and the family own two thirds.

SLP has been growing fast with Tharisa fairly static, SLV profits have gone from 8m to over 40m over last 3 years while THS has fallen from 67m to 54m, so form 8 tomes SLV to just a third more. Moreover SLP metrics have grown consistently year by year THS hasn't, the market values consistent growth. THS has to demonstrate that it is back on track for a while, the market judges miners that are hit with problems, like Cey and Hoc, badly. Hopefully the presentation and then results will help,.

Tiger why do you think Tharisa’s price is what it was in 2018, while Impala is up something towards 20fold? Tharisa did issue a profit warning in autumn 2018 leading to a tumble, a bit like Centamin’s, but it shouldn’t be judged for that now? The chrome tax worry, but that wouldn’t create losses to outweigh the Platinum, Palladium Ruthenian? So why, or anyone else?

If you do at best they’ll give you a price. Challenge as I have found over the years is it is relatively easy to build bit by bit over the years, but hard when you come to sell

Do your figures take account of tax and non aisc expenditure? If not would you knock a third off for this or a bit more?

There are lots of updates from the board, many more RNS over the last year than most miners, and the share certainly doesn’t fall from the absence of them, but the usual churn of buyers and seller as it runs in a range 18-40, as pretty illiquid, waiting for more news either way, that the board can’t hasten. Seems fair value to me now given news so far, with a bit of speculative froth blown off, now let’s hope some good drilling news benefits the shares in the not too distant future rather than the other way round imho

Given extreme price of catalytic converter metals the race must be on to develop alternatives, but may take a while. On another note why is Impala up maybe 20 fold since 2018 while Tharisa is roughly the same price if I read the charts right? ie why does Tharisa appear so very undervalued?

Repo rates have only fallen to -0.05%. Rob Kianz appeared to say repo rates had gone to a gob smacking -4%, tho maybe this meant -0.04%? Then his report ended with a load of conspiracy stuff about defences being built in the Virginia capital to signal how dangerous the financial situation is. Who is he, reliable or another wako American conspiracy theorist? All best and thanks

Thanks so much for posting this but what does it mean for gold? So far it is going down as bond system becomes more problematic, if shares tank will we too, but faster, as a year ago?
And if shares tank will commodities like silver collapse as less industrial demand or rise with inflationary expectation?

it funny reading stories from just two years ago saying the rhodium boom can continue and having risen from under $1000 in a year, the price could become $3000, well it has become ten times more, $30000, a true bubble, however even back at $3000 again rhodium will give us a decent profit. There ce can be substitution between platinum palladium and rhodium, as the price of one rises, However if these prices hold to end March the first quarter should be very exciting,

It will be a fabulous first quarter, but if the rhodium bubble bursts, so it takes a very big tumble, and platinum and palladium fall alongside gold and silver, profits later in the year may not be quite so amazing and start a decline. The big question is how long is this rhodium bubble sustainable. The rhodium cost alone per car is $2000 to $30000, then there is the platinum and palladium. Pure electric sales are soaring as mileages increase and battery prices fall. They will become even more competitive as conventional car prices increase so much from metal costs. Then Rhodium sales will decline, so for me the question is how far in advance of this Tharisa’s shares will take account of this coming fall. In fact the absurdly low PE seems to suggest that they are already taking account of quite a large fall, but the fall is likely to be even greater than that priced in…eventually. To put it another way how long will the price rise as people are prepared to pay us ever more for something they know will later fall. Hopefully a while and we will reach Tigers £2 on first quarter results IF rhodium can hold on that long, and platinum and palladium not tumble. Imho

as said due a bounce, probably $100 or a bit more then on down, hope I am right about the first part wrong about the second but doubt it. Problem interest rates still rising, and faster than inflation Also as said I am hoping cey gets nears 120 in this bounce.

It is already dry known and in the price, however gold is looking for a reason for a temporary jump so this could be it imho
