Autonomy, luckily I have seen your post so not scrolled down to read whatever Mr T might have said, thanks for the warning and much appreciate your and others’ tolerant words and support whatever he may have said, he has from time to time been insulting over the years, sometimes driving me off for a few months but others are so decent and I am always back as I can’t resist the breadth of this board, the views on cey, often so informed and humbling for such dilettantes as me, and the insight into Britain today (or old white men in Britain today). I remain in gold as an insurance against what usually happens now, as borrowing and inflation, intolerance and populism soar, and frightening irrationality. Ignoring chrome 160k oz with a profit of $3k = $480k, halve that for tax processing etc is $240000, even if you take off another $40k for Vulcan etc that is still $200k or around £150k. Add in a bit from chrome and PE could be 2 if prices hold!

Cey qnnual reports gave those figures I guess because ounces mimed were quite a bit higher and they didn’t have the $200m capex beyond aisc to take the off profits. Just to reiterate I am very comfortable holding here as although I see short term downside I see bigger potential upside and having held on so long wouldn’t want to sell towards the bottom and miss out on a shooting rise. The prospect of doubling seems greater than halving but who really knows what on earth gold will do in this crazy world

So in terms of contribution to PMG profit I make it Rhodium 66%, platinum 17%, palladium 11%, iridium 6%; presumably these PMGs now make the major proportion of overall profit, so overall would it be right to say that 1% on rhodium is roughly 1/2% on profit even though costs fixed they are such a small proportion? In which case Rhodium so far 13% rise this week is around 7% on profits? Do you happen to know or do they give an aisc on the pmg’s

Because I think it will rise sharply once it begins thinking about 2023 and on, and that may be sooner than I think so very happy to hold through ups and downs. It is not so very odd, though traders may find it so, the likes of Warren Buffett are happy to go on holding stocks that something temporary has happened to, for the long term good, timing is notoriously difficult and a way to make losses. My first Cey purchases were nearly 10 years ago, and the fact the company tells us nothing from Africa doesn’t stop people holding the fact Mines have setbacks nature of the business, the fact top management sold didn’t stop people holding, for us into the long term the ups and downs don’t matter so much with such great long life mine, but I still like predicting through it all, and this year and the halving of the share price has been painful to us all

As said presentations are to give existing shareholders a full overview, and attract new ones which is only to be welcome. They are not like results

What percentages of the metals do you use and how many oz of each is predicted for this year?. Is rhodium around 16k oz, is the mix roughly 11% 25% 64% rhodium, palladium, platinum, with rhodium sales about equal to platinum and palladium? Thanks

No reason for an rns because giving a presentation, tho of course always lovely to have one if good. I wonder if the presentation will say anything we don’t know or more likely just what we do know again?

Interesting that these 3 decided to sell 12½% of Centamin with it fallen to little over a £ but I guess with gloomy figures the next two years they thought better opportunities in other miners. As said, after the bad news I moved a bit of my Cey to Hoc, a bit to Orosur, and a bit more recently to Tharisa (thanks again Tiger) about which my posts are full of optimism as Rhodium and Palladium continue to rise, earning 10 times more than Cey per share and up over 10% just the last week. However I continue to retain my core Cey holding as don’t know when the share will start looking forward to returned profits in 2024. Today should be good for all miners, tho whether this is the correction in the bull as most pundits call, with gold soon falling to $1600 or even $1500, making Cey just above break even for a couple of years unlike most miners with lower costs,we shall see.

It is beyond belief there is so little news from W Africa. Even worse for the share price is that gold was 1250 an ounce in 2016 and 2017 and we made over 200m each year. This year and next at that gold price we would be losing 30million.

There is no constant decline, take out the froth and OROSUR share price is just where it was at the start of Dec, in the meantime gold is down $150 and drilling news isn’t good enough yet to obviate that. There was a short pump and dump to 40p that pulled suckers in but if you ignore that us long term holders should still be very happy at a more than 10 fold rise from 1.7p a year ago today and not worry about noise when it shoots above or below where it seems to sit

Doesn’t it just, well done supercharger, may the market keep going now inflation though to be rising but interest rates not…and some good news on Monday! Incidentally Gary Wagner has been saying gold will rise back to 1850 to 1950ish before turning down to plumb new lows so as said a couple of weeks ago we should I hope make 130 or near it on this run; of course hope sentiment is now so bad gold will keep going….and Monday!

Funny how I remember waiting for the balance of payments to come out the word rock the market, then waiting for the money supply to come out that would rock the market, and the latest fashion waiting for interest rates to come out and every nuance about them too, that will rock the market - Let’s hope this arcane stuff rocks gold up rather than down the direction it currently seems to want to choose

Yes it is a problem with these boards that they are of course populated by holders who hold as they think the price will rise. That is why the views of those who point out reasons it could fall are so very valuable, so thanks; however helpful if based on grades won’t be good enough, costs will be too high, political dangers, why Salazar left, what Omi history tell us, cash burn, how gamblers came in and pushed price up but are fickle and can/have leave/left, share dilution, overhang of buyers from that keen to cash in, etc etc.
