With all the shorts around, it'll be too late by the time any negative news becomes public, you'll be 50% down at 8am on the day if/when it happens. If any cracks do appear in the next update then it'll be pushing on an open door (trap door).

Yeah not sure IHT funds are "forced" to sell... they just have to deal with the tax when they do sell after the move.

Can you tell the difference between shorts covering and someone "loading up"? If so how? The bid and offer on this share is all smoke and mirrors, shorts playing with it at will.

No doubt a bit of that. The drops in share price after results were however pretty immediate and negative momentum did grow when debt built up with the acquisitions seeming to point to some seeing an imbalance in the market cap, or an opportunity to short. Increase in debt and a decreasing oil price.
